Good product, bad shipping procedure
The product is great, too bad Amazon holds my products for over a week before sending it. I would love to know why if I place an order on any particular item, big or small and on any particular day, they hold it for over a week before sending it.

Brought the thump
Got to say that I was very uncertain given the lack of strong reviews for this product prior to buying it. Suffice it to say that it is not cheap either. Now that that's out of the way, this thing is high quality, heavy, and works with my 2200 W jackhammer to a t. I used it to tamp the base Rock and soil behind a retaining wall that I am building and it delivered with a vengeance. I barely had to do any of the work alone other than picking the jackhammer up and moving it. Once there the weight of the shank, tamper, and jackhammer was more than sufficient to tamp the dirt. If I had one wish it would be larger, of course. But then my weak body probably wouldn't be able to lift it anymore.Go ahead and get it. It's what you think it is, it works just as it looks like it will. One tip is that once you put the shank in the tamper you are not getting that bad boy off. Well, maybe you have if you have access to high power hydraulics or something, Pat Superman's grip alone would not be sufficient, point being get it aligned right the first time. Once you thump, it's permanent.

Excellent for spot compaction.
Works very well. Great for deep compaction before pouring concrete to repair 10 square foot hole in a slab on grade.

Does not fit. Hex too large. Notch wrong location.
Does not fit 1-1/8” makita demo hammer. Hex is about .056” larger then should be. My other bits from Milwaukee, makita and Bosch fit fine. Also notch in wrong area.

didn't fit a harbor freight electric jackhammer
Didn't fit the harbor freight electric jackhammer because of where the retention flat on the side of the hex shank is in relation to the hex shape
