I read most of the reviews and decided to take a shot with purchasing. Am I glad I did!Not only did it come quickly through UPS (which I was not expecting), but I just popped in the batteries and began playing a movie for my little gremlins.Due to the need to watch real, kid-friendly shows/movies, I was on the hunt for a blu-ray player and found a Sony BDP-S3100 for $6 in great condition at Goodwill, but it didn’t have a remote. Great value, works great, and was super easy to connect to my Blu-ray player. Just added batteries and was good to go. No need to search for a product code like universal remotes. Very happy with this purchase.

This operates my DVD player perfectly! Four stars because there were no instructions on how to set the remote up to operate TV functions (the buttons on the remote do indicate this capability). I am still super happy to not have to get up an punch buttons on the DVD player :)

I was so thrilled to find this replacement remote on Amazon after the original stopped working. I like to watch movies in bed and having to get up to use the controls on the blu ray player was making me nuts. This replacement remote worked right out of the package (well, the plastic bag it came in). All I had to do was pop in a pair of AA batteries and I was controlling the player from the comfort of bed. The price is so good I think I'll buy another just to have around. I mean six bucks and change, c'mon.

I lost my LG remote and thought I would never be able to find a replacement. We have two LG TVs and since they were different models they had different remotes. Well it turns out this was identical to our downstairs remote and didn’t require any fancy programming to get the bedroom TV to work! Hallelujah to that!
