Excellent trekking shoes
Awesome trek shoes...The delivery was timely with good packaging. When I wore the shoes, they weren't heavy. The fit is as described a bit more loose than the size, toes and heels are comfortable. The shoes are sturdy with very good sole and anti-slip padding material. The material of shoes and the laces are of good quality and they looked durable. I am excited to try these out for trekking and in monsoon.

Perfect Value For Money.
Being extreme quality conscious, I assessed the product quality right from the packaging and delivery. Shoes were very well packed and delivered. I wore them for a leisure trip with over 12 hours drive and wore them throughout my trip of 5 days visiting mountains to rivers and found my shoes not only comfortable but also very sturdy. Even after wearing for over 12 hours and continuous driving, my feet weren't tired at all and were absolutely comfortable. I will also not hesitate to say that I felt quite safe and confident with CTR shoes on during my trip. Though this was just one long road trip with these shoes, I am looking forward for durability as well.

The Maruti Gypsy of hiking shoes.
I feel compelled to write a review for this excellent performer that I have worn on two Sahyadri hikes now in different conditions (monsoon and autumn). I bought them because I was looking for a pair of hiking shoes to serve as an interim option until I ordered a new pair from Columbia or Merrell; I have now shelved that plan and use these as my only shoes on treks. If the only job of a hiking shoe is to provide faultless grip in wet as well as dry conditions, you'd be hard pressed to find a better shoe than this even up to the 10k range. At Vikatgad/Peb Fort I saw more expensive hiking shoes slide on damp mossy stone in the rains but not once did the Coasters let me down. At Kothaligad in dry season the gravelly descent can be slippery, but again these shoes performed beautifully. It's why I call them the Maruti Gypsy of hiking shoes - unassuming, inexpensive, not packed with creature comforts, but perfect at the one job they're supposed to do; tackle difficult terrain effortlessly.I picked a larger size based on reviews which was a good call. They are a little heavy, and not waterproof, but those are things I can live with. My pair of shoes appear well made and robust, and show no signs of wear and tear so far that some of the other reviews have mentioned. Unquestionably 5 stars.

Strong and comfortable
This is a good shoe and heavy. The sole is white so keep it clean. Satisfactory.

Looks like a good performer. Great anti-skid sole.
Timely delivery. Average packaging. Sturdy shoes with very good soul that has an extra anti-slip padding material. At first it looked heavy, but when you wear it, it isn't heavy. Very easy to wear and remove. Not very soft from the inside. Material of the shoes and the laces are of good quality looks durable.Need to test with monsoon trekking. The fit is as mentioned probably 5% lose than the size. Toes and heels are comfortable.

Too Heavy and Uncomfortable for my Trek. Suffered a lot with Heel pain.
These shoes are very uncomfortable for trekking. Sole is too hard and had suffered with heel pain. Could not walk 3-4 KM daily with them on Normal surfaces.. forget the Mountain hiking. Worst shoes I ever got. Purchased Quenchua shoes already for my next trek.

Horrible comfort but does what it says it will
For the record i have returned the shoeThe shoe does whatever it says it willBuilt like a tankCrazy grippy sole lots of cushioning for impactBut in the end a shoe is no good in todays world if it doesnt have proper ergodynamicsThere is zero ankle support/gripBecause of poor foot grip it is likely to give sore feet/ fingers because of constant impactEspecially downhill any trekker knows how ill fitting shoes cause painfull toes etcYou maybe a lucky one to get a good fitBut that would be luck not designIf grip and impact protection is your primary requirement then go for it blindly

Excellent trek shoes
I would wear the action trekkers shoes for my treks earlier which are no longer available in the market. Tried wearing woodland but because of their hard sole, kept falling a lot... was looking for alternatives and tried using Power running shoes... all of them were okay okay, any other brand like Nike, adidas were disaster (sole would come off) however, when I used these shoes it gave me a feeling of using action trekkers (which were the best). On the trek, theses shoes were amazing, avoided all slips and falls and also protected my feet from ankle twists. Shoes were good even if they got wet! Kept my feet safe.. only flaw in this product.. they are a bit heavy! but for trekkers, i guess it should not be a problem!
