Good clippers
My husband had a pair of these that lasted approximately 15 years They finally gave out so I ordered him another pair. Let’s see if he can get 15 years out of them. They’re easy to use and very doable

Impressive
I’ve always been a fan of the quick and easy buzz cut. I bought and immediately returned two different models from another popular brand that I have used for decades before, and their quality went straight into the toilet. These Oster fast feed clippers are powerful, quiet, and sharp. Cuts my thick hair like nothing and I mean like right now. It’s refreshing to see that Oster still cares about producing a superior product.

Relevant background: I have been cutting my own hair for the last 14 years. During that time I more or less settled on Wahl brand clippers. The problem is that the Walh clippers dulled relatively quickly, got clogged with hair easily and took many passes to get it right because of the inferior attachments and the attachments popping off. But for the price of 20-30 some bucks to replace every year or so, it was ok. However I've found the newer models of wahl clippers have used cheaper and flimsier attachments. The attachments got so cheap that if you pushed too hard on your head, the attachment would distort. Well that's exactly what happened. I mean can you at least not scrimp so bad that it defeats the purpose of the product? None the less, I tracked down a set of older and better made attachments and went to business as usual. To do a perfect job took me about 30 minutes to cut my hair because you have to make many passes from where the attachments push the hair down and where in general the clippers don't get unless you brush the clogged hair out for every 6 or so inches of hair cutting. If you've done this as much as I have, you know what I mean. I had enough, I flushed enough money down the toilet on Wahl. One day I got pissed and decided to invest a few extra bucks in my next set. I researched the models out there and this one came very highly recommended in the intermediate price range. I purchased it and have used it three times since I got it. It works great, it flys through the hair no problem and it does not clog with the cut hair. I can cut my hair in about 5 minutes instead of 30. The attachments are thin without being flimsy, so you don't have to go over the same place over and over. The attachments also slide on from the top/front end of the blade and lock into place so, no matter how hard you push on your head, the attachments will never pop off. I wish I got one of these years ago. The construction is way more solid that the walh brand. It is heavier and obviously has a better motor. The blades go through everything without a problem. This is a great clipper for someone like me who only uses it about once a month. People seemed to complaint about the noise- if you are that sensitive to sound then you have issues. You are literally pressing a buzzing motor against your head...you want it to not be loud? It does get hot like people say, so I would not recommend using it without attachments for more than 15 minutes without a break. I would not use it cut my dogs hair without letting it cool completely which may take awhile. My advice....get it

Finally a good quality hair trimmer!
I have been using a hair trimmer for years and I've been through many that did not satisfy me. I've had several Philips and also some other less known brands, but they all inevitably failed. One that I had was cordless and had the obvious issue all battery operated devices have which is that at some point the battery didn't hold the charge any more, and the hair trimmer would start slowing down, not cutting well, etc.Other non-battery hair trimmers would cut well at the beginning, but then they would start malfunctioning and pinching my hair constantly. This Oster trimmer is the first one that not only has worked well for two years, but the first one that I chose to re-buy after I lost the first one moving to a new apartment. It works well, it's powerful and it's not gonna let you down. Thumbs up!UPDATE 9/2/2016: I'm still happy with this trimmer. As another reviewer noted, it is really important to periodically unscrew it and give it a good lubrication. At some point, it was starting to not cut as good. I hadn't oiled it in almost a year, so I unscrewed it, got rid of the hairs jammed inside, gave it a quick oil (using coconut oil) and after reassembling it, it was cutting MUCH better. Just like any mechanical device, it needs to be taken care of periodically. As long as you do, this trimmer will serve you well.2nd UPDATE 8/12/2017: This hair trimmer is still going strong and I'm still very happy with it!If you found this review helpful, please consider clicking yes below.
