Well worth it.
Purchased this saw in 2022 and have used it a hand full of times in the yard but numerous times camping (atleast 150 times camping). It has helped in fire wood, shelter making, furniture making and traps. We are now in the year 2025 and am just now starting to see the tips of the teeth wearing down. 3 years and many branches and small trees later I can say it has done me justice. I don’t normally write reviews but I need another one so here I am. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

Its bargain at this price...
Though realize you will have to sharpen it to get best use from it.I bought an identical one last year from different seller using different brand name but obvious from same China factory. I bought this second one to put under seat in vehicle for emergencies. Just looked and they have doubled price I paid for mine for that other seller. Here is my review of it and it applies here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R1L0QZAJW9FUX7/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?Now I will say that unlike my first one from the other seller, somebody did make the additional effort at a very shallow wide v-edge on this one. So if you are just determined to use it without sharpening, its not quite as blunt as my first one from the other seller. But I just got through putting deeper convex edge on it and its much more effective now. You want convex edge, also known as ax edge, so it wont stick in the wood. YOu put narrow v-edge and it will stick. You want the deep convex edge, not a dull one as suggested in some reviews. It is indeed a small ax, not a hammer. Sharp edge gives you more control and lot faster cutting.I will say belt sander probably best way. Its just the natural way belt sander sharpens to give convex shape. If you do it by hand with a puck stone, not only will it take much longer but you need bit technique to get that convex shape. Its doable, but you will really earn your sharp edge with lot sweat equity doing it by hand.

Good versatile tool to have around
The hatchet was purchased for butchering chickens. It worked well and will find more things to hack. Perhaps some limbs hanging by a bit of bark!

Great Deal
Great deal for an inexpensive axe. Built pretty solid.

Yep, nice hatchet l, very sharp
Great hatchet for splitting kindling. Very sharp, seems to resist rust reasonably well, and I like the handle shape & size.

Cheap
Soft steel and way too thick behind the edge. Will not chop but splits well. Good enough beater for the price but i would consider something better if I was you.

Nice hatchet
Little hard to keep sharp, but is a good thing to have with, while working.
