sometimes it is difficult to find organic products like condensed milk so i always appreciate when whole foods has them for mereasonable price, high quality

I've been making Thai tea regularly since March and we've found it's better for us. Usually I buy Eagle brand, but it wasn't available this last time, so I decided to try whole foods brand. What I've noticed so far, and I'm not sure how I feel about it, is that this brand stays rather liquidy, even when refrigerated. If I put eagle into the fridge it's like a thick paste and I know if I put my spoon in it it's not going to slide off easily. This is the opposite, it remains runny even when chilled and the container needs to be above the glass or it'll make a mess on the counter. I still have two unopened cans, but I don't think I'll be buying more. We'll go back to eagle. I'm sure for some recipes this consistency would be perfect, but for mine it's not a good fit. It is rather inexpensive though, so that's a point in their favor.

I keep seeing videos and articles about making your own creamer at home. Since most creamers and heavy cream have ingredients that I'm trying to stay away from now, I decided to do just that and I doubt I'll buy ready made creamer again.The recipe I use is 1 can of sweetened condensed milk - this one specifically, 1 cup half and half, 2 cups whole milk, 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon of pure almond extract. Shake or stir and there you are. Creamer made with just a few ingredients. It tastes good and you can vary the milk and extracts as you please.I know the can says 14 ounces but measured out, it's exactly 1 cup. It's just the right sweetness, too. Once made, my creamer smells similar to homemade ice cream. In fact, I'm tempted to freeze some just to see what happens.

The milk was condensed into this can and tasted great in my dessert dishes. Super thick, and great quality. Worth in my opinion for sure.
