This is NOT an ipod, despite my efforts to treat it like one. The operation is something entirely different with swipes in several directions, a button that is multifunction, and apps that are not described in the literature provided. The operation is far from intuitive, and the owner's manual is not helpful. Having said all of this, once you experiment enough to get the unit functioning, the apps are varied and useful. Nice to have Amazon Music and Apple Music which work fine after you sign in. The music player is the yellow colored app in the lower left corner. It works pretty well, and transferring mp3 music from your computer is easy enough. In other words once you get by the learning curve you. have a versatile device that delivers good sound.

The diofox mp3 player is great! Not quite as good as the g5, a different brand, the android system of the diofox is older and some apps won't be compatible with it. Yes, the diofox has the Google play store and can access the internet via WiFi. Over all the diofox performs well, the mp3 player can handle a lot of apps running simultaneously with no trouble. As with any device, you might risk slowing it down if you have a TON of apps, like I do, although I expected more lag and there is almost none. I have dozens of apps downloaded from the play store via WiFi with no problem. I use the diofox as a tablet pc. Great for web surfing, video watching, and the diofox will use the included 64gb SD card as storage, it lets you store apps and their data on the SD card so you can avoid having to delete apps you need due to lack of space. Of course you can also store your videos mp3 s etc on the SD card too. Battery doesn't last very long, about 4 or 5 hours of internet use. It takes between two hours and four hours to charge depending on what type of charger you use. For under $60 with free shipping, you get WAY more than what you pay for when you buy a diofox. Another slightly better mp3 player that costs more and has comparable but better features is the g5

The device barely functions, when you uninstall apps they reinstall after you restart the device. It refuses to download the newest compatible versions of apps (most apps the newest update is compatible with the OS of the device) you have to remove and put the SD card back in for it to work. I feel scammed, I was expecting the device to function properly but it does not. It has a Bluetooth range of about 50 ft, chrome doesn't work, yt music uninstalls after you shut it down, you can't clear cache without uninstalling the specific app.

Got to listen to audiobooks but it was a bit too complicated for what we needed. Also, and this may be a plus for others, it had extra features we didn't need because a phone does all that. Easy return.
