TACTACAM Defend Cellular Security Camera

Work well gor storage units. Even gets service behind metal walls. You get images to your phone but you cant stream video. Thats my only complaint.

The set up was simple and quick and works great. The cell service at my pole barn is weak at best but the notifications come through quickly. If you're trying to decide to purchase, I highly recommend.

Good product overall. It just didn't fit my needs. I purchased it as a security camera, not for trail. I had a great signal strength and the app worked well. The issue was that i wanted to hook to continuous power and it was difficult to do so (DC plug in back took a 4.1x1.7mm plug and not all fit into the slot). I also wanted immediate access to any and all videos, but you have to wait till the camera "checks in" with their server and THEN it sends. Too which you can adjust that timing to "instant" but then you have greater batt drainage.I will say, the customer service was OUTSTANDING. If you chat from the website, you got very friendly, knowledgeable and quick response reps that always knew what to say and do. The issue with that, is that i had to contact them ALOT b/c the Instructions For Use, is VERY skim on details for the App. I had to ask about what certain icons meant and did, i had to ask about settings and what they meant. Stuff that should be in the instructional guides but AREN'T.Again...good product. Just wasnt for me.

I bought a Tactacam Defend camera to help keep our garage secure. It arrived so quickly and only took me about 15 minutes to set up. That area of our property doesn't get any wifi signal so the camera's cellular data plan was the perfect solution. We didn't have the mess around with adding the camera to our phone plan either! The app made it super easy to add a cellular data plan so we could get the camera connected and keep our garage secure. Will be purchasing more for the rest of our property ASAP!

Things they do not tell you.. You have to pay for the whole year up front. Then pay the extra $9 if you want video monthly. It does not do live view like a Ring camera. You have to request a video from the photo taken. You will not be refunded for the up front cost. In my case it was $120 for the year, and $9. So paid $129 before I was able to realize it does not offer Live View.

This unit requires a separate phone app than the Tactacam hunting units. Deal breaker for us and we just use a new 3.0 tactacam unit for security reasons and works great.

I've never had a good security camera option for my farm that is way off the beaten path, but my Defend camera has quickly changed that. An hour after I unboxed it and set it up (which was super simple), I had a truck that I didn't know come down the driveway. I have the app notifications turned on and saw the notification, and I was able to meet him before he even got out of his truck. So far I'm very impressed with the quality of the camera, the photos are great, and the installation was very easy.

Perfect for our rental home security.Can see everything needed to keep an eye on the property while we are not there .Even when power is out , I can still see what's happening.
