Caught a chipmunk in 5 minutes!
INCREDIBLE!!!! We have had chipmunks borrowing into the stone foundation of our house built in 1790, & digging holes all over the dog’s grassy potty area. This causes the dogs to dig to try to unearth them. I love chipmunks & think they are so cute, & love to watch them on the rest of our property. But NOT digging holes in the foundation or where someone could get hurt. I have tried other traps-bucket tilt lid traps, Have-A-Heart, nothing. I put this trap out with a teaspoon of peanut butter & some bird sunflower seed & 5 MINUTES LATER caught the first one! I like that the mesh is small so they don’t hurt or kill themselves trying to escape. It’s easy to set & release. This was a pretty good sized chipper, so we will see how the trigger plate is for the really small ones. 10/10!

One Lucky Bunny
A baby rabbit ran into the house through an open door. I ordered this humane trap. There were two traps in the box which was very good to have two traps. It came within 24 hours. We needed it fast. I put delicious rabbit food on the levers, small slices of bananas, strawberries, watermelon and butter lettuce.I couldn't believe my eyes the next morning. There was this little puff ball of fur in the cage. We took the caged bunny outside to the grass. I wish I had somehow taken a video of him scampering off. It was the cutest thing ever! He seemed to know where he was going. That was one lucky rabbit!Anyway. I am a perfectly satisfied customer. The device worked like a charm in a matter of hours.

Great Humane Trap!
I am not one to write reviews but this little trap is the best! We caught a chipmunk within an hour after putting it out. Since then have caught two more which we kindly release in the woods away from our home. My husband says it is easy to set up and we are very pleased with the product. It is also quite durable as he caught a grey squirrel yesterday and the trap survived! The squirrel was released in our yard and hopefully will not check out the trap again.

Quality if-y and needs a handle. But did work first time!
This worked the first time we used it. Large brown rat. The product was obviously well thought out... EXCEPT there is NO handle. The quality of the metal is not great and to add a smallish handle on top would have been very wise. We used gloves and had to pick up by opposite corners. Since could not carry it we put the cage in a brown box and carried the box out to where we planned to release it. Fortunately the rat was fairly stunned it had been caught and we discovered quickly so it did not rustle around nor try to attack us. We are grateful it is gone. But really people ... a handle would be smart. Not sure how durable it is as wire is very small and if that huge rat had been in longer it would have been outta there. Thx to whoever invented it but please upgrade with handle on top!

It definitely catches a mouse, humanly!
It works! I caught a mouse that came out of a feed bag that I stored temporarily in my truck, due to the fact that my donkey broke the key into the locked lock of my storage building/water pump house, by scratching against it. I set the cage trap against a wall, in the truck, and put some pieces of honey wheat bread inside it, one evening. By the next morning there was a cute, fat mouse in the cage. I didn't kill it, but released in a vacant weedy lot.

Not as sensitive as it needs to be
Having suffered a dead mouse in a wall cavity after I had plugged the access point I wanted to reduce the local mouse population, but I have bird feeders and have on a couple of occasions killed birds that were attracted to the peanut butter I had used as bait in traditional spring traps. So this humane trap seemed like the way to go. I baited it with peanut butter without setting the trap and something, on several occasions, managed to lick the peanut butter off without springing the trap. Also, I had observed that the peanut butter might still be there overnight but would disappear some time in the early afternoon. Though it was somewhat rare, I had seen mice during daylight hours. So I increased the sensitivity of the trap by putting a loop of scotch tape around the bar that goes into the loop, effectively shortening the distance it would have to move in order to spring the trap. Also, I loosely put the same tape on top of the peanut butter to require that the critter work a little harder to get to the bait. After this, I caught a gray squirrel. It barely fit into the cage and was furious and terrified. With leather gloves on, I carefully released it. So, there you have it. The trap works, but may need "help" to work properly.

FINALLY A TRAP THAT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought 2 other mouse traps and they didn't work. It was a very smart mouse or possibly smaller rat but he was really fat. I bought this cage trap and it did work but I had to put it in a dark quiet place and put little pieces of bread leading into the trap and in the back on the trigger tray. So I was able to transport him to a different location outside and set him free.

Functional after tweaking it a bit
Had to ground the trip pin down to make this work—you also can make it more ‘hair trigger’ this way— but the trap now works well and has produced results. There is no instruction for doing this though. Sturdy gage, not a bad design.
