What an awesome kitchen gadget! First off, I never knew these things even existed! Now that I do I'm using it like crazy! I just got it delivered on Saturday and by Tuesday I had Ajay made 3 batches of compost, each taking 3-5 hours total. There's no bad smell. It operates quietly. It's not overly big (about the size of a bread maker). I plan on placing it in my garage to save counter space though. I can't speak to longevity of the product, but so far, I am ticked pink! It composts so many things. The list of no nos is pretty short. I'm looking forward to actually using the compost this spring in my plantings.If you are on the fence about buying one of these, wait for the sale and pull the trigger. Only had for 2 days but LOVE IT! Easy to use, no smell. Once it’s done our very nosey dog doesn’t care about the contents. Actually doesn’t care even when there is food waiting to be processed as the seal in the unit is excellent. Very sturdy. We cook a lot annd have lots of vegetable and fruit scraps. I’ve run at least 4 “loads” in 2 days. Once it’s mostly full just turn it on. A little pound but not bothersome. It was 1/2 off and right on the money as far as budget.

However, this device allows you to compost items like bones and meats, which I haven't tried yet. It's about the size of a bread machine and has a sleek white matte finish.The instructions were fairly simple. There’s a power button at the bottom, and four modes: Manual, Automatic, Self-Cleaning, and Fermentation. The bin holds a decent amount of waste. The first time I used it, I put in my scraps, closed the lid, selected Automatic mode, and within 30 seconds, the time appeared, indicating it would take about four hours to compost. It quietly got to work, and four hours later, I had about 20% brown, dried compost. I was impressed by how efficient it was. One thing to mention I have had the top pop open when the device first starts up. This has happened a few times, I simply push it back down and restart the machine. My advice is wait about 5 minutes to ensure this does not happen.Since then, it has worked smoothly. I haven't tried Manual mode, as the composting usually takes between four and six hours, depending on the load. The manual suggests that Manual mode can take one to three hours, but I trust the Automatic mode to handle it better than I could.The instructions could be better. They explain how to use the control unit and insert the activated charcoal, but that's about it. The Fermentation mode is poorly explained, and I didn’t receive any fermentation pellets, so I haven’t tested that feature.A huge benefit has been the lack of odor or flies, which is a problem we usually deal with when composting. Since using this device, we haven’t had any smells coming from the bin or fruit flies, which has been a welcome change.One thing to note: the device gets quite warm during use, so make sure it isn’t placed under a countertop or anything flammable.Cleaning the device can be a bit tricky, especially when it comes to reassembling the blades and the cap, but it’s manageable.Overall, it’s a solid device, though it’s difficult to find detailed reviews or usage guides
