These are great quality bottles, work great, are very convenient & easy to fill - save a lot of money in the long run if you regularly use these bottles!

I have purchased the Mr. Heater Propane Tank Refill Tank and three bottles of Mr. heater refillable propane bottles.They are easy to fill, and are reliable.I would however recommend that if you buy these bottles, also buy the brass tops and ditch the plastic ones that come with it. The brass tops have a seal and are a better way to prevent any leakage.

Well, mine doesn’t bleed off either. Just like some other reviewers mentioned my bleeder valve is completely blocked. I kept over filling it as much as my nerves would allow. Plus side is this thing can handle double what it’s rated for. But after you fill it, wait for 5 minutes and you’ll hear it randomly bleed itself off, with the bleeder closed. lol I just can’t trust it, fantasticUpdate - ALL USER ERROR. Beware that this bottle requires you to use the Mr heater branded refill kit. There is a small button that needs depressed inside the threaded collar in order for the bleeder to work. It’s a safety, makes perfect sense and works great

This showed up last night. I haven't tried to use it yet but I will in the next day or two in case there are any functional issues with it so I can get it exchanged... But, it doesn't look as nice as I expected either. I'm pretty sure the canister is new but it may have sat on a shelf for a while before being sold. The paint is fairly beat up and surface rust has started around the base ring. The brass valve is tarnish and dirty. The relief valve and ring are both covered in corrosion too.Update: I now have two of these canisters. If they looked like new products I would give them 5 stars. Functionally, they are fantastic. The integrated bleeder valve is perfect. Filling the canisters is amazingly easy. I can even use them to empty "almost" empty 20 and 30 pound cylinders before refilling or exchanging them. So there is no waste in the 20 and 30 pounders. Filling these cylinders when they are partially filled is just as easy as filling them when they are empty. Now that I have two of these cylinders, I've been able to recycle two arm fulls of the single use canisters which helps with space management in an already cramped garage. If they can figure out a way to get these delivered without having tarnished brass, scratched paint and rust, these would be perfect. As a side note: If you use these, buy some of the brass caps with seals. They will insure no leaks, keep debris out of the valve and protect the threads. The plastic caps that come with the canisters are okay but the brass option is more secure.

So far, so good. Decided to get rid of the older (dangerous) 1 lb propane cylinders that I had been refilling, with questionable success. This appeared to be a better option, and obviously, much safer. So far, everything has worked just as described, and all seems well. The tanks fill quickly and completely. Good job (Fuel Keg) Mr Heater !

So far - I might now prefer these over the larger competitor. They are a bit heavier (than flame king), but it makes them feel higher quality. They DO need a filler kit - or you won't be able to fill them. I have a little buddy heater, and it fits fine in the base. I love the little twist valve on the neck of the bottle, that allows fo rletting off building pressure when the bottle is being re-filled, This avoids having to use a tiny hex key that has to be used w Flame King. This is a great product for a good price!

The media could not be loaded. DO NOT REFIL ANY OTHER 1LB BOTTLES!I thought I was being clever when I got one of the other cheapie adapters to refill the normal bottles. I had one swell up really badly because the safety valve stopped working.Just do the right thing and buy this system. The hardware is built extremely well. The refill kit works great, and the bottle is very high quality.

Bought 5 of the fuel keg 1 lb bottles, because the reviews and easy to refill vs flame king. But very disappointed with the quality control or maybe I received some returned items. 3 out of 5 had issues. 1 had slow leaks, 2 only can fill up less than halfway because of the bleeder valve clogged. Customer services is good, talk to a real person last than 5 minutes of wait time. They send me the way how to fix it by email. Turns out the slow leak one is the o-ring does not seat correctly, just use a nail push down with main valve pin for few sec, and the leak stop. Hopes to remain stop for the rest of the time. Other two with bleeder valve clog. Use the tip they send manage to fill them up, however still clogged a bit. Needs to replace the bleeder valve. I suggest use these brass caps with gasket build-in instead of using the plastic one comes with the bottle. In case of them leaking without notice the plastic cap comes with the bottle won’t stop slow leak.I use about 12 to 15 of 1 lb bottles every year for camping and overlanding. The coleman one is getting a lot expensive than they use to be, now is almost $9+ a bottle with tax. This refill type of bottle should start saving me money on the 2nd year of use. Let see how they are holding up for long run. If is not the issues I have, this product should be 5 stars. 2 stars off because they shouldn’t be needing fix by end user out from the box.Even some small quality Issues this is still the best product to replace these one time use propane.
