Tenn Well 10mm Jute Rope, 50 Feet Thick and Strong Natural Jute Twine for Gardening, Bundling, Camping, Decorating (Brown)

Jute is jute, this was the cheapest one I could find. But no doubt with time, prices will change and another seller will be cheaper. But Jute is jute. Have hanging garden pots, jute was decaying so replaced with this. 10 mm thickness was just fine. As others are doing will also replace the used jute on cat scratch pads rather than buying new, saving lots of money. So lots of uses to be found.

Reroped a well known budget store cat scratching post with this jute rope over 9 weeks ago, and, as you can see, it's stood up to very sharp claws trying to destroy it several times a day.It's softer and thicker than the original sisal, and has already outlasted it.I used gorilla glue occasionally as I wound it around, and stapled it every few rows (all in a line, so that they are round the back).It looks as though it will last a good long time, plus I've got enough left over to redo it when it needs replacing.

I bought this length of twine twice as I decided to up-cycle some lamp shades. The first roll felt tighter twisted than my second purchase, but each of them had flaws which I had to address or cut out. I think for crafting this is ok, but I wouldn’t think it’s much good as garden twine in terms of strength and durability. The first roll must have had more on the roll than the second as I needed to buy extra twine to finish my project. All that aside I’m happy with my end result.

Used it to rerope my cats favourite scratcher. Was much thinner than I expected but that isn't the sellers fault I couldn't remember what size I ordered previously and it actually still worked pretty well so saved on the cost also.
