Great after spinal fusion
My daughter asked for this to help her with socks after spinal fusion surgery. She reports that it works perfectly and she's very happy with it.The only downside I see is that it is fairly large for what it does - some of the smaller, flatter options looked like they'd store much better but my daughter was adamant that it had to be this one! I can see how it probably works better than the fabric options.

Sturdy, but too small for big feet and legs.
Well made. Sturdy, and the plastic covered wire cage helps the sock/stocking slip over easily. Compression stockings have more tension in them, but the wire cage held them open easily.No good for me, though. I have size 11 feet with oedema of the feet, ankles and calves. I couldn't get my foot into the inner cage because it is obviously designed for young people or ladies with slim feet and legs. My daughter has standard feet and legs, but it was a tight fit for her too.And if you think this would be valuable for travelling, remember that you have to fit the stockings for the return trip, and this device would take up a considerable amount of space in your luggage!I returned the item and was credited immediately with no fuss. A great product for keeping at home, but too small.

Too difficult to use
Way too difficult to use.... effectively OK for a child sized leg. But would still be too difficult to use

No Strain and no pain or broken fingernails
The only product of its type that I have found that doesnt require straining when putting the stockings on, Im 82 with back problem as well as swollen legs and I m delighted to have found this product

Super gizmo
A bit of a contraption but worked OK for relative who was struggling to put on socks at the time.

Important to know if your legs are not skinny it can be difficult to use the helper.
I have to wear support stockings which are incredibly difficult to get on this stocking helper is great and enables me to get my stockings on without help, the only problem is the gap which you put your foot into is not wide enough if you don't have incredibly skinny legs, it could be fantastic if that part of the helper was a bit wider.

I struggle to put socks on and have bought lots of different things to try but this is so easy to just step into socks and they're on first time
