Awesome little contraption
I recently had an air con system installed and was a bit disappointed to find that getting the WiFi enabled model was about £250 more expensive per unit (which quickly adds up when you have more than one). I was researching ideas on how to handle this and came across Sensibo. The ad promised everything and I have to be honest I was a little skeptical on it's promise of compatibility but wow I'm truly impressed by this. It's a neat little unit on a USB charger that in essence acts as a remote control replicator with your device so it's truly plug and play and it took a little over 7 minutes to get it fully operational. I'm super impressed by how easy it is to use and the extended schedules and controls you get via the app. The alexa setup was a little bit trickier because I had to uninstall and reinstall the app but it's a super impressive contraption here and would highly recommend for anyone who wants to take control of their system!

Excellent piece of kit.
Connection is great and easy. Temp control excellent. Any problems with anything the customer service is second to none. Delighted with my purchase.

Works but expensive for what it is
Basically a WiFi enabled remote control with an app. Works well but for what it is, it seems expensive.A ridiculous amount of basic functionality in the app is behind a paywall, which is unforgivable given the upfront cost of the product.

Top gadget
Bought two of these, one for a old Just Coolers heat pump in a garden office and one for a guest room Mitsubishi unit. These devices give me remote control over the air in these rooms and combined with a LightwaveRF smart socket I can monitor power consumption and use the minimum of power to keep the rooms comfortable. The schedule feature will be useful for the garden office during the winter to keep the temperature up and prevent damp without wasting electricity. The APP to control the units is good, clear and easy to use. All I all a really useful and well made piece of kit.

Does the job perfectly
The Sensibo Sky has made our Toshiba AC system totally controllable and the Smart features work perfectly, whereas previously it was only controllable by hand held remote within the room.

Good device but with flaws
The Sensibo is essentially an WiFi Remote Control for your Air Con Unit. If you're expecting it to act like a thermostat, then it's not what you're after.Setup of the Sensibo is fairly straight forward. Install the app, scan the QR code and away you go, although I had a few issues and needed to make a few attempts before I got it setup.I've got it integrated with Google Home which works pretty well. Google Home see's it as a thermostat, so if you also have a Nest Thermostat and tell Google you're hot or cold, your AC will also turn on to whatever temperature Google Home has chosen for you.Whilst it works pretty well for the most part, it has a critical flaw that other reviews and posts have noticed. Sending the commands are temperamental.I've got my Sensibo mounted at horizontal alignment with the Air Con, about 5 meters away. 90% of the time, when I issue a command, it lights up and the Air Con does what it needs to. The other 10% of the time though, Sensibo lights up and nothing happens. At first I thought it was a signal strength issue, so I temporarily moved it closer and in front of the IR port on the Air Con, but I still ran into the same issue. Looking around, it seems others experience this issue too, so I dont think its anything to do with my placement of the device. Its stuck in a fixed position which works 90% of the time..The only other thing to mark it down on is the app. Whilst it works, its not particular intuitive, and its quite ugly with a lot of wasted space! As I believe the unit also lacks a thermometer, don't expect any thermostat like controls or readings as to what the room air temperature actually is.It's a little underwhelming as a product to be honest, especially for the price. I'm pretty sure you can accomplish the same thing with Logitech Harmony devices. From what I can tell, all this device does is mimics your battery powered remote control.UPDATE: Sensibo reached out to me after posting this review, and have shown me how to change the remote type my device is using. Since doing this, my limited tests seemed to have resolved the issues with sending commands.

Great substitute for terrible OEM app
My heat pump has an internet app, but it is unusable, unreliable and kills the battery life on my phone. The Sensibo Air solved all these problems immediately. Setup was easy enough, (though I did have to reset the air and start again) but the app talks you though step by step and it learned my remote first time. Once working it is a dream. I can control the A/C with the app, but better, I have fine control with Google Home and OpenHab. Because Sensibo is dedicated to A/C control everything works really really well. It is instantly responsive to app and voice command. I am super happy. The price seems quite high for the unit, but the idea and execution is worth it to me.

Okay, but the app has monthly fee
The units are ok. Feel a bit like cheap plastic. You have to place them so the infrared can see the AC. The biggest issue is basic features of the app, such as widgets, are behind a monthly paywall. Given the price of these things I found that just annoying given the price of these things.
