Hidden Gem of Diagnostics
The media could not be loaded. This thing is crazy. It works super well. I haven't quite figured out the sensitivity dial yet, it acts the same regardless of the setting on my car. But I can hear a very tiny pattern difference in my last ignition coil compared to the other three. I'm about to change my spark plugs to see if that restores the pattern.Build quality has me slightly concerned. I was threading on the sensor stem onto the handle and something made a pop noise. The sensor stem now wobbles ever so slightly. This is not a typical mechanic quality tool. It is a sensitive electronic device and needs to be handled with care. Also, there is no battery cover. I hope it takes regular batteries.Overall, this is an appropriate quality for the dollar for such an advanced piece of tech that fullfills a diagnostic avenue not many are offering.

easy to use
I usually pull coils to see a drop in rpm but this was a lot faster at finding the bad ignition coil without pulling coils or swapping coils. Would recommend this tool to anyone that needs to diag ignition coils. Very easy to use.

Mixed Reliability Issues
Eh.... kinda worked. It seemed to be very finicky where it reads and doesn't. It was directly on the center of the brand new coils and didn't register 100% but then did on the sides? Not super impressed.That said, they did register that my bad coil wasn't reading but again it wasn't super straightforward as you had to tap it all around to verify.3 stars for it working but not easy to use and 100% reliable.
