A fantastic challenge with a rewarding end result
This was actually the first Metal Earth kit I constructed, and I loved it. It was hugely challenging, delicate, and required a lot of patience, but the end result was immensely rewarding. The parts came in two sheets, along with very clear instructions that never once had me wondering what on earth they were asking me to do (which has happened with more than a few other types of model kits in the past!).It does take a little time to get the hang of removing parts safely from the sheets, but I took it slowly and managed to remove all of them without any damage. For parts with multiple prongs holding them, I found the best technique was to apply a little back-and-forth leverage to the frame (at the prong) with some tweezers or very fine pliers until the prong separated. Once enough prongs are removed for the piece to be moveable, you can gently twist and turn the piece to detach it from the remaining prong(s). The most tricky building stage was undoubtedly the shaping and attachment of the engines nozzles at the rear, and I spent a lot of time trying to get them perfect. I wasn't entirely happy with them, even after all the work I put into slowly reshaping them with a pair of very thin pliers, but for my first effort I guess I have to be reasonably happy. My advice would be to not obsess over forming the pieces into perfect circles straight away. Just get them fixed and attached first, then you can make small tweaks once they are on the model. The final result was one that pleased me a lot, and I was impressed by how sturdy the finished model appeared to be as well. I will definitely be making more in the future! For the record, the build time of this model for me was a little under two hours.

Good quality, fast delivery
Star destroyer model turn out to be a a very good quality . It isn't the easiest to put together but my 11 years old son managed to put it together withing 4 hours although he is making all sorts of models since he was 8. It definitely need some tools to shape the metal parts. It fitted together very well. Worth buying.

Delicate and fiddly but looks good once made
This item comes in a small flat box about the size of a money card wallet. Wasn't packaged very well, it could of easily been bent which would of ruined the item if it was to happen. Upon opening your presented with two flat metal sheets with the designed cut into which you have to break free each individual piece. This can be rather time consuming as some bits are rather fiddly. Putting the item together didn't actually take as long as I though and was done in a couple of hours. We found it a lot easier to use tweezers than to try and use your fingers as again the bits that need to be folded to connect are minute. The instructions are very easy to follow. Once put together it is very flimsy so beat to be kept out of reach of children. It has fallen off its stand a few times which has resulted in Us Having to bend a few bits back into place. Even with how flimsy and delicate this item is it does look good on a shelf with a Few others we have purchased and made. It did make a fantastic Christmas present for a huge Star Wars fan and with lots of different designs they do make a attractive display item.

Rewarding and delightful
Purchased as a present for a friend. He loves it. It is intricate and requires a steady hand, but he says he found it most rewarding to build, and a most delightful way to adorn his desk.

... 3 stars as the company who provided this was good, it arrived quickly and in good condition
Im rating this 3 stars as the company who provided this was good, it arrived quickly and in good condition, no problems there at all. BUT, my god ... this is the most awful fiddle thing ever! After several hours of shouting, screaming and swearing I have actually thrown it away as it was impossible to build. I also cut myself a couple of times whilst trying to bend or push the little metal tabs through a minuscule hole, the metal has sharp little bits on it (where it was attached to the main metal sheet and you then pop the piece out) Horrid, horrid, horrid ... and i was so looking forward to putting it together and giving to my star wars obsessed boyfriend.

A great time sink for anyone into miniature modeling
A great time sink for anyone into miniature modeling. As these are metal, you have to be extremely careful not to snap of any metal tabs when piecing it together, however taking your time and using a few tools (I recommend using some extra long nose pliers) and you'll be good to go.For the price, they are worth it. They are small and look great when added as part of a collection.

Do NOT buy
Do NOT buy this product. Like other reviews state it comes already assembled and bent out of shape. It is NOT a puzzle but a model.
