Fine for the money, it's not like we get enough sunshine to use it often.
For the money it's just what I wanted. It has blown over today but it is particularly windy. You wouldn't use an umbrella in the rain on a day like today because it's windy enough to blow your brolly inside out but in normal summer breezes like the rest of the country get it should be fine.It did arrive with quite large dents in either side of it which I was quite disappointed in. Appreciate packers have targets to meet but this should never have been dispatched with those dents (box totally undamaged so it must have been like that before packing), but it retains the water I put in it so couldn't be bothered sending it back.

Great does what it's supposed to
Good sturdy quality. Kept parasol in place even when windy. Fill with water. You could you sand. Put lid on. Only minor leaking. Left outside still all good. Easy to use and store. Compact for storing.

Black plastic parasol base
Base is easy to fill with water and bung is contained in the stem. Does not look too bad but not v stylish. I found fitting the parasol into the stem and tightening it quite difficult. Need to push the parasol down as far as it will go and the screw fitting did not turn easily. The parasol blew over and toppled the table on my first attempt.

Not suitable for camping or caravanning.
Bought this to take in touring caravan intending to fill it with water and empty it each time it is used. The filler plug on the side has no screw thread or similar but is just a hard plastic bung type cap which looks like it will have to be hammered in place to close. I queried this with vendor who replied “these plug is removable but required good tool to pop this out. You can use screw driver and other good tool to push this out as they are not easy to remove though”. Doesn’t sound like a safe solution to me. I have no wish to end up in A&E on my holidays or carry a heavy, possibly leaky parasol base in the caravan. Vendor says I can return it for a refund but as it was less than £10 it’s just not worth the cost and effort of a trip to the post office. It was cheap, arrived quickly and looks OK but isn’t portable. I was disappointed but if you just want to use it at home it is probably fine.

Sturdy, for smaller parasols
This parasol base arrived with a puncture hole, it looks like a nail or sharp item. I only discovered this as I filled it up. I don't think it is anyone's fault but was annoying. The base itself is made of tough material and very robust. I already have one of these and it withstood winters outside and still fine. This is only suitable for beach type parasol, it's not as big or heavy as those for a wind up large parasol. Nonetheless it's tough and so long as it's not windy it's fine. Extra weight would be required for windy conditions. When I e. mailed the sender they replied the same day (bank holiday), and a refund was made immediately. I will order another as the company are very reliable a d the product is fine.

Push the bung in !
What can I say, fill it with water, put parasol in and relax. Make sure the bung is firmly in otherwise it may leak. Not really suitable for large parasols or if the wind gets up, but for calm sunny days 😎 perfect 👌
