Very good all-in-one system
I’m always slightly wary of doing reviews too soon, and I’ve only had this Quadriga system a month, but so far so good.I bought it to replace another Majority product, the Oakington, which for various reasons I was never that happy with – erratic bluetooth, poor DAB reception, an irritating noise appearing randomly when playing CDs, and mostly never being able to get a satisfactory sound balance, with the treble end being too tinny whatever the EQ setting.Well, the Quadriga really is a great improvement. I suppose it should be, given it’s two-and-a-half times the price, but that’s no guarantee necessarily. It’s relatively easy to set up, although you need to keep your wits about you and be familiar/comfortable with linking to your home wifi – I had a couple of false starts but am used to that with other devices.DAB reception is fine, bluetooth is fine. Haven’t tried out FM radio, but have tested the internet radio to see if/how it works, and came across a whole load of interesting French music stations, and will explore all that in due course. Not quite sure what the Spotify mode is for since I play Spotify through my phone using bluetooth. Above all the sound is really good, rich and warm, not tinny at all. Bass is powerful, maybe a bit too much, but easy to tone down using the personal EQ setting – otherwise, ‘normal’ and ‘jazz’ work fine for me. I use the system in a fairly small room with a party wall, so am never going to play anything that load, but it’s ideal for what I want. The only aspect where the Oakington was better was that, if when playing a CD you turned the unit off, when you turned it back on again the CD would play from where you left off, and the Quadriga doesn’t do that, but it’s a minor quibble. So all told a pretty good all-in-one system, would definitely recommend it.PS One thing to note is that the manual is wrong when describing how to programme CDs, because there’s no ‘star’ button to press, either on the remote or the unit, to confirm the programmed tracks. What you have to do is, follow the instructions in the manual, ie. press FAV, then find the track you want and press OK to select the next track, repeat until you've selected all the tracks you want, but then you have to press PLAY (if you press OK again it's just asking you to select another track). When the tracks have played, it will show the 'stop' symbol and the 'star' symbol in the display - to clear the programmed tracks, press STOP on the remote.

Highly recommended.

WHAT’S IN THE BOX1) Majority Quadriga Music System2) Mains adaptor3) Remote control and batteries4) 3.5mm audio cable5) RF aerial6) Instruction GuideI have included photos and videos in this review to show certain aspects of the set-up process and operation. I can truly say the whole process was trouble free, easy, and quick. I used the WPS button on my broadband router to connect to the music system. Everything is straightforward, just follow the onscreen instructions.I was looking for an all-in-one music system which had the latest functionality: DAB+, internet radio, Spotify connect, Bluetooth, podcast player and a CD player for my extensive CD collection which has just been gathering dust for years. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but I did want a quality product with decent ‘room filling’ sound with a rich base without any distortion at high volumes. This ticked all the boxes. It even comes with a 3-year warranty. The built-in subwoofer is powerful and located underneath the system. I enjoy listening to local and regional DAB radio stations and the controls are very easy to operate. The FM radio works well but I would only use this as a backup as the sound quality is not as good as DAB+. Spotify connect works very well with my mobile phone and the podcast player is a useful addition for all my podcast subscriptions. Of course, the Bluetooth function allows you to connect and stream from any compatible device, which I use for my Apple and Amazon music subscriptions. Additional connections include a 3.5mm AUX jack on the front for connecting say an MP3 player and RCA jack, OPTICAL IN jack, and USB port at the rear. There is an app which I would recommend you download from Google Play or Apple Store called “UNDOK” which allows you to access all the system modes from your phone. When tested it proved to work very well on my smartphone. The CD player operates smoothly, and the sound quality is equally rich, clear, and loud. However, unlike in other modes where the album name and title track are displayed, only the current date and track number is displayed. This is disappointing and perhaps Majority could, in the near future, look at providing a software update to address this.In conclusion I would highly recommend this music system to anyone who has similar requirements. Having owned a Majority soundbar for some years, I am now considering a set of PC speakers from Majority as I believe this manufacturer can be trusted to produce quality goods at very reasonable prices.

Just Purchased
I have only just purchased this all-in-one system so it is early days. Really easy to set up. Network connected first time. Have listen to the DAB radio which sounds nice and clear. CD player feels well made. I tend to listen via my headphones and the music output is excellent. There is a lot still to be checked out. This seems to be really good value for your money and having 3yrs warranty says a lot.
