PortaPow USB Power Blocker - Stops Charging, Allows Data (Twin Pack)

I recently started using the PortaPow USB Power Blocker with my micro USB cable for my 3D printer, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer!This little gadget does an excellent job of preventing my printer from pulling too much power from my sonic pad, which could potentially damage it. It stops charging while still allowing data transfer, ensuring that my devices stay safe and sound.Installation was a breeze - I simply plugged it in between my printer and the sonic pad, and it started working right away. Plus, it's super compact, so it doesn't take up much space.Overall, I'm incredibly impressed with the PortaPow USB Power Blocker. Works as expected, larger than it looks online.Keeps Rpi from powering my 3d printer board via usb.Initially I tried tape on the usb power pin but it was not reliable.

These do just what I wanted them to do and they were spec-ed to do: block power but let data through. I'm using it to connect a Raspberry Pi Zero 2W to an Ender 3 V2 Neo 3d printer and it is imperative that each end provide its own power and that one end shouldn't try to power the other. It's nice to not have to depend on a sliver of electrical tape carefully placed inside the female USB connector to do that.

These work awesome. Much better than trying to tape the connector for use on a 3d printer

Great! dont have to keep pulling/swapping the cables on my sonic pad to keep it from partially powering up the controller even when the printer is off so now I can leave them all plugged in and the sonic pad on all the time and just switch on which printer I want to use when it comes time to print. Been looking for these for awhile and love it! Just wish they were a little more compact or perhaps had a pigtail on them on the male side so I wouldnt have to worry about them getting bumped and broken off or damaging the sonic pad by sticking out too far, small issue that could be solved with a short USB jumper cable but that just adds more cost and more potential connection issues so I live with it for now.

Excellent. Stops the Raspberry Pi from sending power to my printer as well as preventing undervoltage alerts in Octoprint! Get these for your printers!

I always disliked having my Pi Zero 2 W backpower my Ender 3 when I had turned the printer off, and this solved that issue quick and easy. Same deal with a 3018 Pro CNC. It’s a simple fix and probably wildly overpriced for what it is, but no fuss and it just works!

The greatest thing about these is that you can see the data protection because the metal two contacts of a normal USB plug are visibly missing so you know that there is no foolery going on with this product. If I had bought one of the competitors without the visible data protection, I would’ve had to use my multimeter to ensure that there is no continuity between or of the two middle data connections on USB.
