Works great when pickling smaller pieces or with incompletely filled jar!! Very easy and effective.

These are great for sliced peaches and pickles etc to keep them below the level of liquid in the jars. Well made and after a spin through the dishwasher as good as new. I think the only negative reviews are from people who don't realize there are two sizes of jar mouths, regular and wide. Just be sure to order the size you need and you'll be happy.

Used for fermenting garlic

The package arrived promptly and the product is as described. Directions for use are listed and the product I received are intended for use in standard, small mouth canning jars.At first these little guys seem very unassuming in their simplicity. The idea is to pop them in the jar to hold floating fruit or vegetables into their canning liquids. I can see them working well in quart sized small mouth jars but beyond that, they really limit the solids volume you can put in a pint jar. In a case such as a pint jar, you might be better off packing your solids as tight as you can.Out of curiosity I did use these in pint sized wide mouth jars to pickle some floating okra. Despite the slipping around I was able to get them to stay in the jars and held down with the help of the actual lid. My jars did vacuum seal down despite the use of these space fillers. These are my go to for sauerkraut. They take up less space in the jar. This allows more space for the juice. Easy to clean. Takes up less storage space.

This product is a must if you are fermenting. It hold the vegs under the brine and its no fuss.

These work great for me and a lot cheaper than buying the glass weights. They serve the same purpose as the glass weights and you get way more than for the price of buying the weights. Also had no problem of had no issues of the plastic affecting the taste of product.

These work fantastic and much easier than having to use a weight in the top of the jar. Kept everything nicely below the brine!
