Im giving this a 5 star. Might be my first 🤔 Honestly been using another brand that came free with my Alexa so I bought more and I hate them . Almost went back to regular bulbs and plugs , all of it. But I got this and their light bulbs and they work soooooo much easier then the brand I had before. Connects quick and I haven't had any issue. Extremely happy with this product but also the brand itself because the multiple items I have with them now .

The smart plug works well. I had trouble setting up one plug. Anjanette from the support team helped me get it working in a few minutes. I also had some issues making the plug turn on/off automatically in the Kasa app. It would turn on but it wouldn't always turn off. Instead I switched to using the amazon alexa app for controlling the smart plug and now everything works just fine.

These smart plugs are really handy for automating household devices. I also have an older bulkier model that takes up both outlets, so these are super useful since you can use both outlet plugs. The Kasa app is very responsive and you can check the total runtime of the plug. You will not be able to see energy consumption details, so if you need that information check the other smart plugs that Kasa offers.

Compared with the cost of most so-called "Smart Home Devices" these were a bargain at US$5.50 each ($10.99 for the pair) with a $4 coupon. Curiously the company's Kasa app refused to allow me to register my principle email address, with my domain, no matter how many times I tried. It did, however, work okay with one of my secondary email addresses and allowed me to configure these smart WiFi plug mini devices and turn them on or off remotely from my smartphone from anywhere I have an Internet connection. An LED indicator on the end of each Plug Mini clearly shows it is ON or OFF. I did not test them with Alexa or Hey Google, but the app worked flawlessly from my smart phone.Each of these Plug Mini devices can also be programmed to turn on plugged-in devices for a fixed time when activated or be programmed to be automatically turned on and off using a daily/weekly schedule. I am then able to view how long each of those plugged-in devices have been turned on. If the app is enabled to determine my location, it can operate automatically operate on a sunrise/sunset schedule.Once the Kasa app is installed and configured it can control a variety of other Kasa Smart devices.

I've had several Kasa Smart HS105 plugs in use around the house for several years. I needed a couple more recently and purchased these EP10 units instead as they are dimensionally smaller and are rated to 15amps unlike the old HS105 which was only rated to 12amps. They install just as easily as the older Kasa unit and I decided to migrate all of mine from the Kasa Smart app to the TP-Link Deco App to get rid of an unnecessary app on my devices.

I always bought the cheapest listed on Amazon. They would go offline occasionally and eventually simply fail. These don’t cost much more and are rock solid.
