This is a really nice knife sharpening stone kit I like the four levels of sharpening grit stones. It works really nice, especially when you come across knives that has a slight bit of edge rolling or a slightly chipped edge, the angle guide takes the guest work out of keeping the correct sharpening an angle to optimize your edge and the leather strop polishes the edge as well, which is really nice it’s a great kit, I would recommend it to anyone that needs to sharpen their knife.

Bottom line is if you don't want to spend a lot, this set will get you started and can produce a razor-sharp edge, if your technique is right. If you're a beginner, get a proper honing guide, the black plastic thing in this kit doesn't seem useful. I bought this about 18 months ago knowing almost nothing about sharpening, and use it for chisels and plane knives. The instructions with this were poor, I still don't know what I'm supposed to with the small white stone. Look up various sharpening videos on YouTube, and you'll be on your way.The stones seem like poor quality, some of the corners have broken off, but they do put an edge on my blades, so I'm happy with the performance for now. I've learned that one of the keys to a good edge is that it's straight, and that requires a flat stone, but the flattening stone that comes with this set isn't flat (or at least it wasn't after a year). I went out and got a high-quality diamond flattening stone (220 grit) that will last forever and stay flat, it's doing a great job so far prepping this set to sharpen. Now I have a set that should do just about anything I need until I'm ready to put more money into a full set of diamond sharpeners that won't wear out.

Great introduction whet stone kit. Everything seems to be very high quality even with the cheaper price tag. I would recommend for a first kit.

Nice sharpener! Nice old fashioned way of knife sharpening. It seems to be really good quality and should save money in the long run. It's nice that it's non slip too. a bit of a learning curve, but videos help

Nice set.. none slip is a misnomer,but that's easy to over come. Still a good buy.
