Good for Basic Projects
This works well with my Raspberry Pi 4. Setting it up was straightforward; I just followed the online instructions. The image quality is decent for the price. I mainly use it for basic computer vision projects, and it gets the job done. But the focus could be sharper. For simple tasks, it's a good value.

Pretty good
I bought this as I figured I'd take the risk and buy this one instead of the official one for 2x the price. I have a really slow upload speed so a Ring or Nest cam would be relatively useless for me, but I still wanted something similar to those. I set this up with motioneyeos to be able to continuously take low sized photos and send one to me when it detects motion. So, in short I have a really simple/low tech smart security camera. I attached a photo as a sample, while it is not the best quality, it is only 66 KB and I have the quality set to about high medium on purpose. Yet, you can clearly see faces and details on the photos when applicable.I have this running with a Zero W and it has been running for weeks without rest without problem. Plenty of applications for this, and for the low price it's worth it for some fun tinkering with your raspberry pi.

Alright Setup, Damaged Module, Great customer service
The media could not be loaded. Installing this camera was quite simple, and took maybe 5 minutes max. However, when I opened the anti-static bag it came in, the lens looked as if it had a chip in it, and the plastic lens holder was scratched as well. The instructions referenced a lens protector sticker, but I did not see one in the bag or on the lens. The image quality is alright, however it is a bit fuzzy from the scratch. When I tried to claim warranty with the squarespace warranty, they said it was my fault and wouldn't cover it. If you're on a budget then this is a good camera, but if you have the money I would recommend the official Raspberry Pi camera v2Edit: Soon after reporting the issue, Arducam reached out and offered to replace my camera. They responded quick, and I just got the replacement yesterday. The image quality is much better, and it is now mounted on my 3D printer for timelapses and remote monitoring! Attached is my most recent timelapse :D My only issue still is there doesn't seem to be a way to focus the lens for closer objects (like the printer fan in my timelapse)

Great value and does the job, but I cannot adjust the focus range
I got this little camera and a 24 inch ribbon cable for my octopi. Works just fine for what I need and the picture quality is great. The only problem is that I cannot adjust the focus range. It has the castle nut style housing on the lens but I cannot seem to get it to budge with a tool or even a screwdriver. It's a little frustrating that my printer is hazy and the background is in perfect focus. Not sure if this is an issue with my model or if it's not an intended feature, but having a functional focal range would make this an easy 5-star and great value.

Seamles & easy integration with Octopi
Just what I was hoping! Decent little camera to monitor overall progress on my Ender 3 V2, using octopi.Ease of installation:Worked seamlessly with octopi; plugged it in, restarted the server, and voilá!Camera quality:Initially I thought 5MP fixed focus would be like going back in time to early 2000's webcams, but no, the 1080p @ 30fps is great for overall monitoring, just not suitable as a close up hotend camera.

Works good in the sun
Works good in the sun, but with a 60 watt bulb, you can't see *anything*. My original RP camera worked MUCH better in dim light. This is great for daylight, but nothing else. I'm NOT trying to get night vision, I want to be able to have a pair of 60 watt bulbs on either side of the driveway, and be able to see the car. I can see the moon reflecting off the windshield, and the two driveway lights reflecting off the chrome, everything else is black. The lights are shining directly on the car, and are bright enough to read under. The light is 6 feet from the car. The car is well lit enough for any ordinary camera. Someone else recommended the noir version, and while that is obviously a good suggestion, this one should work with my direct lighting.

Great camera for the money
I give this product 5 stars because it is exactly as it is described. Works great with, in my case, RPi 3B with and produces a pretty and clear picture. Considering the price, I'm very happy with it. That's said, I do have two other RPi cameras, official RPi v2 cameras - one with and one with out IR filter (NoIR). When I compare the picture of the 8MP RPi V2 camera to the picture of this 5MP Arducam, I have to say that the colors on the Arducam are visibly inferior to the V2. That, in my opinion, is to be expected from the device I paid roughly 40% less than the V2 camera. I guess what I am trying to say is that this is an excellent little camera for the money, but if you want a slightly better camera go to RPi V2 camera and spend a little more money.

high quality video
had some stability issues in the beginning. But with the advanced technical support from Arducam it was determined the camera cable was too long and was twisted. With their help and advice I swapped to a shorter cable and it is operating with very high video quality. My hats off the the support team. This camera is perfect for Zoom or equivalent applications.
