Getting my niece into engineering!
I picked this up for my 5 year old niece, and I was asking her for parts by their proper names in about an hour. "pass me the lever, and I'll show you how" If you're like me, and want your nieces and nephews starting early into Newtonian Mechanics before junior high, this is a good start!

Get tinkering!
This engineering toolkit has provided my son with a wonderful foundation for basic engineering skills. The instructions are very precise and provide good foundation to build upon in the future. Pulleys, levers, wind up cars; gravity, boats... it's all there.

Just okay
The activities are great but there are some that need extra materials. The directions are not always clear and we wish more details would have been given. For the money, we expected more. Our 5 year old daughter does like to participate but it can be challenging to explain things with how the directions are worded. There should be a list of materials the project provides and the materials you will need from home separate.

Pretty Cool
This was purchased for my daughter who likes to build stuff. There is a lot of parts to making the different things in the box. I don't recommend just giving it to a child without supervision, they will definitely need help. The material of each component is okay. Some of the parts are a little flimsy. You have to have a child who really likes to build to appreciate this type of gift.
