Good light
I’ve been using flashlights like this since the early 90’s. Maglites are well made and work well. These are comparable and cheaper. I’m sure if I pulled out calipers and measured the thickness of the aluminum I’d fine it somewhat thinner than a Maglite but I find nothing to deter me from purchasing or recommending this light, it’s a good choice.

Thank You, KunHe
I shop for value. This aluminum flashlight is what I wanted at a good price. First, I looked for a 2D cell LED light with a simple on/off switch, which this has, and it is said to be waterproof. I previously bought a name brand plastic light with sliding switch, thinking it would be more reliable than a pushbutton and less likely to switch on in a travel bag. But that switch is buggy, and it is not water resistant. The switch on this KunHe light works well, every time. The threading on the removable rear cap is good. The center body has diamond etching for a comfortably sure grip, and there is a flat space in it which points to the switch. To my surprise, I find that the flat space works very well in the dark to guide my thumb to the switch. Overall, I think the light is well designed, and it seems well made, of good material. It looks and feels like quality. The light is heavyish with the two D batteries in it but light without them. I have no complaint about the battery weight, because a two D cell light is what I wanted. The light seems designed for outdoors, with a center high beam that is round and a round surrounding low beam. The surround beam is not quite as bright as I expected but bright enough. The center beam is focused and strong. If there comes a time camping when I want to put light on something that is out there a good distance, this would do the job. At fourteen bucks, I would buy this light again without hesitation. Based on the short time I've had this flashlight, I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a light like this.

No frills, basic flashlight
In this era of specialty flashlights, rechargeable batteries, strobe flashers, etc., I just wanted a simple, solid, metal, 2 D-cell flashlight. And this was one of the very few I found. Its only upgrade from the flashlights of old is the (highly desirable) LED bulb. This one is just what I wanted. It has a good, bright, white light, and a nice soft on-off switch, and it appears to be very sturdy and well-made.. It will be great for power outages, or camping, or picking up the mail on those dark winter afternoons.I should add that the first one I received was a dud — it went dim after one second and then switched off, again and again. Probably a defective LED. This was on a Thursday, and I immediately requested a replacement. I dropped off the defective unit at my local UPS store on Friday morning, and Amazon delivered the replacement on Saturday. Much to my delight, it works perfectly.Bottom line: great product, and great service from Amazon.

IT TAKES TO TANGO
Excellent $9 flashlight, I love it because it only takes two batteries, I generally don't like buying products that use odd number batteries, because batteries are not sold in odd packages and you are always left with a battery that will be out of date. Are especially like the button, in that it is simply on and off and I do not have to cycle through high and low and strobe and red and UltraViolet and Etc and Etc and Etc.And considering it's D cell, it's not going to stall out the way double A and Triple A flashlights do, if it had a focusing beam I would have given it five stars, I have made a vow never to buy flashlights that have strobe and or ultraviolet or red functions because all you do is spend time switching, even if it cost a few more bucks for a flashlight with a simple on and off I feel it's worth it, that goes for p e n lights which I always have one click to my shirt collar. And the light is plenty bright

All aluminum body and very solid.
I strictly purchased this flashlight to leave it in my car emergency kit bag. I didn't want anything expensive like a Maglite which I already own several. This is a basic flashlight with no adjustable beam, but I knew its limitations. At least it feels solid and durable, and the light beam is very bright. For the price you can't go wrong with this one.

Seems pretty good!!
Seems to be a great flashlight. Beam is bright white, and focused, no dark spot like my maglights. Metal construction, with o-rings in head and tail caps. On/off button is simply on or off, none of that stupid 3 mode BS. It feels a little bit lighter than a my 2 d cell maglight. Made in China. I have maglights that are over 20 years old and still work. I hope this will last as long, based on initial impression, I think it will. Build quality is good, if anything, slightly less refined than a maglight, edges not rounded, finish isn't as shiny. That doesn't really matter to me though. I'll probably order a couple more to have around the house and in the truck.

VERY inconsistent quality, Junk from China!
One flashlight is PERFECT -- bright and as expected. The other has only a SMALL fraction of the light of the first one, and goes on and off. JUNK!

Good value
This is not a maglite. It costs a lot less. But it's pretty bright and is handy to have.
