I didn't know tea could taste this good
As a life-long coffee drinker, I was always "meh" about tea. As if I needed another reminder that I'm aging rapidly and the slow march to death plods along unapologetically, coffee started giving me heartburn. It's likely due to that old, sweet friend caffeine, so I decided to cut back. But I missed having a warm drink to sip on as I sit at my desk all morning working from home. Decaffeinated coffee tastes like something too gross to share with the sophisticated folks like you who read these reviews on tea, but I'll just say I refuse to drink decaffeinated intentionally. A Diet Coke at 7am just feels wrong, so I decided to try tea again. Since the British are world-renowned tea snobs, I figured I should find out what they drink. While PG Tips and Yorkshire are far more common brands consumed across the pond, something about the reviews on Marks & Spencer's Luxury Gold tea captured my attention and wallet. I excitedly awaited the delivery, which in true Amazon fashion was quick and on the day expected. Having now delved into the depths of online British tea culture, I knew that I needed to pour boiling hot water from my electric tea kettle onto the tea bags (which were unexpectedly round, which was cool) and steep for a fairly short time of 3-4 minutes (or less if a less potent tea is desired), hit it with a splash of milk and you have a proper cup of tea. After doing so I lifted the tea to my lips and to my shock, it was incredible! I immediately messaged an English coworker telling him I didn't know tea could taste this good and he told me he was a PG Tips guy, but M&S is definitely known to be of great quality and gave me some other recommendations to try.Long story short, I love English breakfast teas so much that I now speak with an English accent, have tea-stained teeth, and, best of all, no heartburn.

Some of the best value tea out there
Incredibly good--but a tiny bit intense, you might say. You have to be in the mood for extra oomph. But at this intensity, it's absolutely excellent. Incredible for iced tea. (RIP Lipton. Even as I became a tea snob, I used to still use Lipton--not for hot tea--but for iced. This dethroned it utterly. No comparison.) I know, you have to really love tea to not laugh at this review. I love this tea and buy a lot of it, but it's my tier 2 tea, after M and S Breakfast Blend (not their English Breakfast, which I received by accident and is truly fantastic too.) This tea--Luxury Gold-- is a back-up staple now in my strong black tea rotation.

My favorite tea.
Much better than Lipton.Only thing I don't like is that Amazon takes a month to get it to me.So i have an open box on the counter and a sealed box in the pantry. When I open the pantry box I order a new one.

Great value!
Nice black tea for wife who had it overseas and is glad to find it on AMZ. I prefer Earl Grey but this works in a pinch for me as well, when I brew it strong.
