Great value on expensive parts
If there is a downside to a Roomba once you get one that works it is the price of the parts. Most of the aftermarket stuff is junk and OEM is $$$$$. So took a chance on an open box offer from Amazon and scored a winner. Saved 25% on a real part and it works great.

Better than third party
All the third party ones are not perfect size, so they wear down significantly faster. The original one definitely lasts much longer. You get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for, buy original parts
Initially, I was buying aftermarket parts that works fine. Those brands/companies are discontinued. I tried other aftermarket parts and continually received errors. “Clear the brushes and press clean “when the brushes were clear. Or the sweeper rubbing underneath squeaking loudly all over the house. These are pricey, but they work. I love my Roomba iRobot i7+ . I just think the replacement parts should be priced a bit more realistically if they are suggesting to be changed every month. I prefer to buy a package of three, but they are often out of stock or not available at all.Note- I have an apartment that’s about 900 ft.²., 2cats, no children, hardwood floors with three area rugs. I typically replace them every three months and they work fine. The filter I change every month from I’m guessing, pet dander and litter dust.

Expensive and easily damaged under normal operation
I love my s9+, but these rollers are by far the worst aspect. As other reviewers have mentioned, the rubber ridges are easily damaged/shredded/scraped off the rollers by objects left on the floor: a penny the kids left laying around, an errant piece of uncooked pasta, an unnoticed bread bag tie, even long hair in some cases will get wrapped around the roller and cut through the ridges. This reduces their effectiveness, and ultimately the effectiveness of the whole unit.Of the replaceable components on the s9+ (high-efficiency filter, corner brush, dirt disposal bag, and rollers), the rollers need to be replaced the most often, and are the most expensive. We run a vacuum job every few days in a house with kids, but no pets, and I came here today to order my 3rd set of rollers in ~6 months. I am attaching a picture showing the rollers after roughly two months of operation. At this rate, I expect I will have paid the original price of the s9+ in replacement rollers within a few years of operation, which is pretty ridiculous given the current cost. I really hope iRobot does something to address this, though my cynical side feels this is intentional on the part of iRobot to milk consumers purchasing their top of the line product. Overall, very poor value.UPDATE November 2021: back for another set of rollers. Attaching a new picture of the set being replaced. Amazon tells me this is my 4th purchase, so that's 5 roller sets including the original, since we purchased the s9 in September 2020. That gives an average of every 3 months for replacement.UPDATE March 2022: time for a new set. Latest picture attached. Overall damage is not too bad this time, except for the dark green roller which is completely separated into two pieces.UPDATE November 2023: probably my last update. The rollers continue to require replacement every 3-6 months and are as expensive as ever. Picture of the current rollers attached. I've stopped caring enough to replace them regularly, and I've given up hope that iRobot cares to fix the issue. What a frustrating and wasteful aspect of an otherwise wonderful product :(

Always go with genuine Roomba products
I have tried off brand products in the past. And although they appeared to be exactly the same as factory made, they don't perform nearly as well. And some don't perform at all. I'll not waste my money again, nor the performance of my Roomba. I'm sticking with there original parts.
