Works beautifully and removes the lid with no sharp edges. I love it. Even if the can has a pop top, it's helpful with some products to open the bottom first and then pop the top open over your bowl or pot, making it very easy to push out the contents.

We had a cheaper one before, then accidently bought a regular can opener. this one makes both of those look really bad. Catches the can lid area the first time, every time. Cuts the perfectly, no sharp edges. Can easily recommend this. Great value.

Have owned these can openers for years. Good quality & reliability. Love how the can lids come off & not sharp edges. Very safe. Use this at my house. Now buying them for my rentals because I like it so much.

I think I finally found the opener I’ve been looking for. I can’t figure out WHY it works (how it actually opens the cans) but the important thing is that it DOES … and it will open size #10 cans (institutional size). It’s heavy by comparison to others, but that means it’s sturdy. I’ve wasted money in the last year on others I’ve ended up disposing of at the hazardous waste site - total waste of time and money. This seems like a winner.

Like it but, i wish i had paid more attention to what it does though.. I saw the locked written on top part and 'assumed' it locked can in place when you push down on lever aka you didn't have to hold lever down while it opened can... other than that it works fine so far and no sharp edges on can, so i started using it to open cat can food and i now don't worry about my i want to lick the can cat hurting his mouth.. there is no cord holder on it..so since i thought this held the cans while opening them, the $35 price tag isn't that great to me. My other choice was under $20 for exact features (which i didn't choose cause i thought this here one didn't require you holding lever down the whole time0

I've waiting for 6 months of using to give the Hamilton Beech Electric Can Opener a review I can say I LOVE IT!! It works seamlessly, no mess, easy and so gently on the hands! Since it opens without spatter, there is NO NEED to clean up the blade. After trying for years to find a decent hand held can opener, I decided to try this one due to reviews. The 5 Star reviews are right on! So gentle on the hands too. I like it's fairly compact design as well. Highly Recommend!

Excellent can opener. Easy to use, lid is not sharp which is a plus. Doesn’t take up much room on the counter, very sleek looking.

This can opener is so effortless when opening cans. I like that it cuts cans along the side of the lid for smoothness compared to can openers that cut the lid and you can accidentally cut yourself from the lid.
