I was not impressed with these pellets. They are more like chips than pellets. I've been making weighted blankets for 8 years and I have to say, these were some of the worst pellets I've ever had. They do not slide easily through the fabric, so you are more likely to catch one with the needle of your sewing machine while sewing. I was desperate when I ordered since my normal suppier was on back order. These might work well as weight in the bottom of a doll or something, but I do not recommend them for weighted blankets.UPDATE: The company sent me some sample packs of a few of their pellets. What I got the first time was called flat cut. They do sell regular smooth round pellets that will work in a weighted blanket. Very impressed with this company's customer service!!
