Hopefully just a fluke...
This backpack seems sturdy and well-made. The material is heavier than the typical backpack from, say, Walmart. I also really like the pocket inside the big pocket. it's a flat pocket along the back of the backpack and is perfect for flat folders or paperback books. I gave it 3 stars because on day the 3rd day of school my son came home with a broken zipper on the top pocket on the front. My husband was able to it, but it's disappointing that it broke that quickly. (My son wasn't even using that pocket for anything).

The material seems ok & it looks cool since my son love baseball
I was a little upset thinking the small Baseball hat coin was missing & was replaced with another pouch (that i didn’t like) but it was a gift - which is a bonus because i can use it for myself) the Baseball cap WAS indeed inse the bag in the one of the small compartment which i did not open. So i changed the rating Frm 3 to 5 because that was the only thing got me disappointed... so all this to say I LOVE the bag & so did my son (he loves & plays baseball). The material seems strong, durable (let’s see if It last a 7 grader - fingers crossed).

but perfect for younger kids
Well made. My son LOVES this backpack and receives lots of compliments. It is on the smaller side, but perfect for younger kids, and that’s what I wanted as he already has larger backpack, so I was looking for something he could use on days when he doesn’t have to carry extra stuff for after school sports, etc.

Was pretty disappointed that my backpack that was delivered didn't come with the little zip up baseball cap that clips onto the bag. If this doesn't come with the backpack it shouldn't be shown in the pictures!

Sturdy bag, disappointed the small cap wasn’t included
This book bag is perfect for my 1st grader. Sturdy, unique and cute. I was disappointed that it didn’t come with the small cap, but some other bag with vintage Christmas trees on it.

Love it and it's tough
I love this backpack! I had to buy a new one mid school year because the last one broke. This one has been through a lot already and still looks clean and new. It's been dropped on mud, snow and rain. Everyone asks where I got it and complements it. My son loves it as well.
