Works fine, not the best picture, but the kids were fine with it. Used for long trip to convert Nintendo Switch to work on portable dvd players with aux input.

I bought this for a Christmas gift. Have not tried it yet. Bought it based on what I read about it and it should meet my needs for connecting a game console to a TV that does not have HDMI connection.

We used it for our Xbox one. My husband's HDMI ports are blown so we had to find a way around HDMI. This works great! He was able to play his Xbox one using this. We have only been using it for a day so we shall see how long it will last but so far, it's great!

Well made solid product. Convert my PC HDMI output through rca component jack to my FPV Goggles. Comes with USB(male), HDMI(Male), and a RCA 3 wire(Male) component cable all-in-one. You can also use it to connect to an old tv.

Wanted to use this with a Roku and an old TV, the unit never worked just gave a picture with overall red hue. Tried several different settings and always got similar results. Amazon was going to replace the unit and after two-weeks still never shipped a replacement, ended up cancelling and getting a different product from Best Buy that worked as advertised on the first try, no setting adjustments needed. If you get one that works good for you if you don't, just get a refund and had to your local electronics retailer.

I’m using this in conjunction with the Elgato USB 2.0 video capture device and an OREI 1 into 2 HDMI splitter to record TV shows from an HDMI box (from my cable TV provider) into composite video into my 2012 MacBook Pro. It often requires unplugging and rd plugging the USB power cord to get it going.

This cable will make any cheapo Ruko box work on any TV with RCA input jacks. The alternative to this is is a Ruku Express+ which has the RCA outputs but sells for a premium price. I would recommend the Express+ if you need a Ruku for an older TV with just RCA inputs. If you can get one at a reasonable price its the way to go, its a simpler install. The reason I got this cable is because the HDMI ports on my new Ruku Express and my living room TV HDMI ports were not communicating, zilch, nothing. Works fine though on my other 2 TV's HDMI ports. So now I get a good picture, good sound and formats properly from my Ruku Express. Now don't get the cheap $10 dollar HDMI to RCA adapter cord by mistake and then complain it doesn't work - because it won't. You need to convert from digital signals to analog. This converter cord has a built in converter/booster powered by a USB hookup. If your older TV does not have a USB port, just get a USB/AC adapter plug from the dollar store and off you go. For me it was a cheap fix, works great, but as my example above shows, because of electronic devices incompatibilities/defects things don't always work as they should.

I was ready to return this unit. When I 1st plugged into my small TV in the kitchen (no HDMI to interface with TV android box) I was getting a picture and sound but it would flicker and the speakers would let out some loud static noises that drove me nuts. I packaged it to send back. But when I was researching other units to buy someone mentioned changing (reducing) the output of your TV box. It took me some time to figure out how to do this but I switched from 1080 to 720 resolution and the picture and sound are now stable. So, so far, no complaints here.

Still setting up my equipment and once I get everything going i will rate it then. Got hdmi to rca hooked up to firestick and to dvd recorder and works perfectly. Thanks again
