Two gifts in one - Safe, funny, outstanding quality, allows mom's to rest a bit!
This was a precious gift I gave to my son, though a bit noisy when you let the music on. It lasted for years and resisted his teething period. He would bit the toy all over. It is a hard material ( though harmless) with some soft parties. I would turn it on and let it go, when I was much to tired to play with my son, notably after he started walking, and he would follow trying to catch it. The toy is very simple but very nice to have, the snail wheels turns and so do the sort of little maraca that comes on it. My son would play whether with the whole thing or only with the maraca alike piece. This latter we would take everywhere, as it fits in virtually any bag easily. My son was a new born when I gave it to him, he is now 8 we decided to give it to his 6 month old cousin. All we did was to wipe and change the batteries. I recommend this toy, it is safe (though there is a metal bar linking the wheels it has never come out), your child will be happy with the full kit or only with one of the two pieces, you can carry the small piece everywhere and it can even allow to mom's to rest a bit when they are not feeling like running around and your baby feels like walking all over, it is simple just turn the snail on in a secured space for you baby and let it go!!

Yookidoo - GREAT toys!!
As soon as I saw this toy I knew my grandson (9 mo.) had to have it. It's a multifunction toy and will be fun for many, many months to come. Visually, the vibrant colors and sweet face on the snail make it very appealing. The music is kind to the ear although I wish it had a volume control or was a tiny softer. My grandson was scared of it moving toward him at first but I just got down on the floor with him and laughed at the snail and picked it up and "loved" on it and let it "love" on him and he quickly realized by my reaction that it was no threat. Now he giggles and smiles as it rolls toward him. He loves watching the moving parts on the wheel with the beads. The other wheel that's a stacker is an A+. He can take it apart easily and has a better chance of putting it back together because the rings all have the same size hole and the post is the same size all the way down - no gradation that they have to wait until they're older to figure out. The depth of your carpet will determine if it will roll on it. Hard floors - no problem. My grandson is not crawling yet but I could tell he wanted to take off after the snail. Great incentive toy for encouraging crawling. Swap N' Go Snail is a great buy - cute as can be, colorful, fun to watch and fun to play with, musical, different from most things on the market - Jake and I both LOVE it!!

A charming toy.
I really love this snail! Our daughter is almost 8-months old, and loves the little tune it sings and crawling after it. The two "shells" are a great idea...our daughter loves taking apart the stacking shell and chewing on/shaking all the pieces. The music it plays is not as irritating as other toys, though you can't control the volume or shut it off once it starts playing (the song lasts for about 15 seconds). The little wheels do great on our hardwood, but sometimes get stuck on thick carpets. My one issue with the design is that you need to push the tip of the snail's tail to get the music and wheels to start. My daughter can't push that button on her own without tipping the whole thing over, since it's body is kind of shaped like a "U" and doesn't have any kick-stand in back to keep it from tipping if you push the tail too hard.Overall, this toy is really well-made and has withstood lots of abuse without showing any damage. Would definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for a toy to play WITH your child.

Baby loves it but he's too little for it still--not anymore!
My 9 month old got this toy for Christmas and he loves the snail part. Doesn't care so much for the stacker shell although he likes to hold the stacking bits and chew on them. The nice thing for us is the music is very tolerable and not too loud. The problem is, he can't crawl or walk yet so he gets incredibly frustrated after a while because he can't get to the snail on his own steam. However, that doesn't mean that, if we're holding him and walking him around, he doesn't go right for the snail. Sigh, snail goes in the closet for another few months.2 months later--I pulled the snail out of the closet this week and he can't get enough of it. He still loves to grab the wheels while they're turning but now he's figuring out that the 2 front wheels turn and the 2 back ones don't and he's turning the back wheels. The snail doesn't go anywhere on the thick carpet in his room so that's where he plays with it and as soon as he sees it, he reaches for it and gets mad if we don't let him play with it. He loves that he can push the button on the tail to make the music start and dances to the music.

The races are on
We have two of these toys in our family. One for our grand daughter and she plays with it all the time. She has been extremely hard on it and it continues to work without any problem. It is her favorite toy so we purchased another one for our grandson. He played with his for one day and the head no longer turns side to side as it moves along on the floor. He never gave it the work out that the grand daughter did so I am not sure what happened. He enjoys the toy just as much without the head turning feature so we did not take it away to return it. Just saying that the toy may have had a defect or it lacked consistent durability. It continues to function as intended it is just that the head does not turn. We would recommend this toy for both adult and child enjoyment because the music it plays is very entertaining and watching what the child does with the toy is so interesting. It truly is on of our family favorites. The races we have between the children and the snail are memories to behold.
