Needs prevention from sliding.
I bought this backrest to use on the bed so I could sit at an angle to the headboard to watch TV. It would never offer enough stability to keep from sliding. I solved the problem by looping a bath towel around the bottom cross bar and then sitting on the towel. This works fine.
