This isn't it chief!
Well, the seller was great, I received the remotely quickly and for less than Dish sells it. So for that, you get 2 stars! However, the remote itself is garbage. It is a pain to just do simple tasks like type in a number, the next remote they made (54.0) is much better but even that has only 1 power button when it should still have 2 like version 52.0! Spend your money on the 54.0 or just keep what you have, this was a neat concept but just not a winner once it went to market.

Voice Command is a nice feature
I've been waiting for the voice remote for a while, and wound up buying three of them. You can get them cheaper directly through Dish from what I can tell, but not sure how long their shipping takes. The voice commands work pretty flawlessly. The number pad is a little wonky and takes a bit to get used to since it is more of a touchpad with no physical number buttons.

I’ve had my remote for a couple of months and have given it the good ole college try so learning curve is not the problem. The voice command works OK, but there are many things that there isn’t a voice command existing. It also only “understands” me about 80% of the time. This really was what prompted the upgrade since my old one works OK. The sensitivity of the “pad” you move your finger around on to make your selections works poorly, It is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough which causes it to be annoying and time consuming to make simple commands. The button (the same pad) works poorly and often must be pushed 2-3 times before it responds. A comman is often activated to do something for unknown reasons. I’ve noted that there is a different new remote that has voice command but stills relies on buttons to move around. This causes me to think they already knew there were problems with the one I bought by the time I purchased mine. I wish I had known it too before I chose how to spend my money.

Very happy!
Love it! Can be on any channel or the guide, press button tell it to go to certain channel, you are there instantly! If you know what channel your shows are on, give command to go to that channel and you are instantly taken to your channel. I enjoy it, would recommend to friends, very happy with purchase. Actually arrived days before it was promised.

Nice but not perfect
It works exactly as it's supposed to, but I have to admit that the touchpad is a real pain in the butt. Most of the time you have to hold it in one hand and push the "virtual buttons" with the other or you will end up on some obscure channel you didn't want. It's a nice idea - in theory - but in practice, not so much. It does work well though and is smaller than your average remote.

Great!
JUST for the keys that light up this was worth it. That said the voice control works really well. The touchpad is a gimmick and I’d rather have regular directional buttons and a number pad but it’s ok all the same.

Great deal, but no instructions. Check with Dish for both...
Great price and savings. A deal opposed to being purchased directly from Dish. Be aware that it takes some getting use to as it doesn't come with instructions. A bit of a learning curve, to install & operate. You should watch Dish's tutorials for both. Once learned, great device.
