Aluminium Case Protective Skeleton Frame with 52mm UV Filter and Lens Cap for Gopro HERO7 Silver/White Camera Aluminium Case

The frame fits well except you cannot use the filter or the lens cap, once it is in, the filter will not screw in because the lens of the GoPro protrudes out. So in essence it is useless to have a filter because they did not design it well to accommodate the filter.Aug 22 2019 = the seller sent me a replacement that fits my GoPro7. The frame and lens fits perfectly and I am glad the seller will support their products. I have bought other products from them and I am well pleased.I am starting to use the frame with the interchangeable lens and I really like it and highly recommend this frame.Thank you seller for correcting the problem. Seems like this was machined at Boeing. I have not used it yet, but the fit was perfect. The case feels so strong that I think I could throw against a wall and not hurt the camera. Its open design means everything is accessible to run the camera. The lens cap makes total sense to protect the camera. Go Pro should send one of these with every camera.

I love it, it's a great case for Paintball had it shot multiple times and it still works well although it does give a bit of weight but other than that it's a good case to use

The media could not be loaded.  I was looking for a simple way to protect my lens when I stumbled on this item. It not only provides me with lens protection, but the case also lets me use a standard 1/4 20 tripod mount... AND it has a standard camera flash shoe that can be used for all sorts of gadgets such as external microphones, audio recorders, lighting, or even mount a second GoPro to shoot alternate angles.This is a complete game changer for me because I shoot a lot of video blogs, so I can mount my audio and lighting in seconds, and I personally prefer standard tripods and selfie sticks, so the built-in tripod mount is much cleaner than using the ones GoPro sells, which raise the camera an extra inch or so from the tripod.I also love the fact that I can screw on all sorts of standard 52mm lens filters (which I already have for my Canon DSLR). In my case, I use a couple of CPL filters and star effects from time to time.The case itself is all aluminum, and unlike some of the others I've found, this one has a lot more exposed surfaces which means it won't interfere with the built-in GPS or WiFi. It's super easy to get the camera in and out, so I can easily pop in off when I need to swap the battery or memory card.I'm so glad I found this. It's my favorite GoPro accessory.

A Hero 7 Black protrudes out the front too far to attache either a filter or the lens cap.Considering that the Black is the most common version purchased, the seller should have been explicit about this.Will have to send it back.

This frame DOES NOT hold GoPro HERO 7 Silver/White securely. While snorkeling in Costa Rica 2 weeks ago, my HERO 7 White inadvertently popped out of this frame and sunk, lost forever. Flimsy magnetic closure mechanism is the likely cause. DO NOT BUY THIS!

Lens was scratched bad and so was the housing of the case also the back locking mechanism doesn’t lock the back panel down so it can slide right off and lose my GoPro since it won’t stay latched, I really wanted to like this product because it seems to look sturdy and heavy duty other then the issues with mine maybe I just got a bad one

Hubby's GoPro was over heating in the hockey arena and the battery was dying. This case is a great heat sync. He even had it plugged in charging (usually heats more when charging) and still worked the full 1.5hrs he was on the ice. Hubby is very happy with the case.

The case ordered was supposed to fit GoPro hero 7.the GoPro will not fit in the case with the case lens cover installed, the camera protrudes from the rear of the case making it impossible to install the rear cover
