I got this 6 months ago. The outgoing mail flag recently stopped working. If I raise it, it falls back to lowered position. There is no adjustment. I'm pretty handy but I can't find a way to resolve the problem. I rarely have outgoing mail anymore since everything is online, but I've probably used the flag 20 times or less in the 6 months I've had the mailbox. Other than that this is the best mailbox I've ever had as far as good looking, solid, large size. I also bought the post sleeve and hardware which slips down over a 4x4 post. Looks great, but should have better quality flag.

Loved it until the magnet fell off the door so wouldn't stay closed after a few months. Tried replacing with magnet from hardware store. Didn't work and eventually the inside magnet fell off.

The mailbox was just what I wanted but the first time it arrived it was damaged with a giant dent across the top of it. The box was perfect, so it was put damaged into the original packaging. I returned it for an exact exchange and the second one came in damaged as well! It had a screw broken in the door which had broken and was rolling around in the box. The mailbox looked great - too bad the quality is so poor. I am returning it for a full refund.

Got so tired of the old ticky-tacky mailbox that came with the house, especially after the door kept falling open after the postal worker made a delivery. This mailbox is the real thing, steel, doesn't twist, opens and closes securely, and has a neat scroll embellishment instead of the same old-same old eagle. Worth the price.

I installed this mailbox a few months ago and it originally worked well but after a couple weeks I started to have issues with the door flying open with the slightest wind. Contacted the company who suggested I re-bend the metal brace to allow the magnet to connect. This was done multiple times but has since stopped working, not sure why I would need to continue to modify the product to get it to do something it should be doing on it's own. I even added a second magnet which only increases the connection slightly. Contacted company again and was informed they have no other suggestions. Worried I will lose or end up with damaged mail. I will be replacing this mailbox with another companies, no more Gibraltar products for us.

When you look at the face of the mailbox, the lower right hand pin on the hinge broke/gave way within two months of use. Defective product? I cannot find the “contact seller” information on the amazon app.Update. The second hinge has now given way now at the 6 month mark. This is ridiculous. Down to only 1 star from the initial 2 star review I left. Thank goodness for some quality bolts and locking nuts from our local ace hardware. 😒🙄

Gorgeous mailbox and an absolute upgrade from the one that came with our new house. Some reviews talk about things messing up but so far mine has been perfect and sturdy.

The mailbox is very big and very heavy. It will last a long time. I like the color, and the shape and the detail. The downside is that it came with a chip about half an inch across on the front right corner and a couple of fine scrapes on the top. This is going to live outside and will have to face the weather and will probably get a few more chips along the way. I decided to keep it and will look for some nail polish to touch up the front.
