MVPOWER 2 x Rear/Tail Brake Lights for Trailer Car 21 W 12 V Long Life Trailer Lights with Magnet Cable, 7 Metre Long Cable, 7 Pin Plug, Road Traffic Approved

Purchased to replace the rear light clusters on a 1/2 ton trailer as the originals were corroded internally after some 10 years. This they do very well, after some shortening of the cable both between the light units and that to the towing plug. Haven't tried the 'empty trailer test' yet (with the bouncing) but that will come! Water ingress can be controlled with a strip of black plastic insulating tape across the top and down the sides where the lens joins the body - leave the bottom clear to allow drainage.

These seemed good at first, and the magnet appeared strong. However, on my 3rd trip with the trailer, on the return trip with the trailer empty, the magnets on the rear of the lights detached themselves (a normal road, so not undue bouncing, just what you would expect from an empty trailer). As a consequence the lead trailed and the lights were ruined - magnets detached from the back of the lights, glass and bulbs broke - USELESS.Based on this experience I would definitely say these lights are not fit for purpose. Will try and return for a refund but not hopeful. I reiterate - USELESS!

Good quality, magnetic trailer lights. Plenty of cable for a variety of trailer sizes. The magnets are quite strong as long as you have ferrous metal to attach them to.

Used them on our Plant Trailer all the leads were long enough with a bit to spare. Thanks.

Easy to install, but the light fell off during a journey and broke. The magnet seems strong enough, but it isn't.Update: Since leaving my last review the supplier contacted me and sent a new set of lights. We will probably find a more secure way of attaching the lights to the trailer. Thank you very much for great customer service 😊
