This is a great mug. The coffee is so hot, I have to leave the lid off sometimes for 5 minutes or so. I'm a slow sipper so I take about 45 minutes sometimes to drink a cup. It's perfect for that amount of time. After that is does cool down. I prefer my drinks hot so if you need it to stay piping hot longer than that not so good.Biggest complaint I have is that the lid is VERY difficult to take off due to the very good suction. Guess you can't have it both ways. Maybe another tab on the opposing side would help to have something to hang on to as you pry it off?

I really like this cup. Tha handle is larger than some others, the lid fits nice and tight and it does keep my coffee hot considerably longer than the double walled glass cups we had been using. I would purchase it again. However, I did notice a small difference in the taste of the coffee after kept in the cup for an hour or so. It seemed to be a slight plastic taste that was possibly due to the lid. I did not notice this taste from the glass cups. It was a small difference, maybe not noticeable by some. But, I decided to go back to using the double walled glass cups for that reason. I will continue to use this cup where keeping the heat in the drink is the top priority. But its probably a 60/40 vote for the glass cups for daily use at the house.

My husband has used this thermal mug everyday since first purchased in January. Not only is it attractive, it is functional and keep his coffee hot for hours. That said, I recently lost the gasket on the lid ( actually I believe my cat discovered a "new toy" as it was air drying). I remove the gasket when I wash the lid so we do not get goonies (mold) growing under it! I contacted the seller and they very promptly emailed me with a link to a new lid that will fit this mug and applied a refund to my account for the purchase as they cannot mail to the US currently. And the new lid a competitors brand! How amazing is that! I am looking forward to the new lid's arrival as this is my husbands favorite mug. Hopefully Amazon has a supply of this mug for purchase.

Love the design and being able to drink out of it so many ways. My only concern is re keeping it cold. I put ice and water in at 10 o’clock at night and by 6am all the ice is melted and the water is just cool. If this happened in a controlled temperature situation, I cannot expect much hope if I want it for outside to keep my drink cold. I am thankful they sent two straws plus a wire cleaner for the straws.

I have become addicted to these vacuum sealed mugs since they came out, they really do keep beverages hot for much longer than a mug.I bought this because I really wanted to have something with a handle and keeps my coffee warm for longer than 15 min.So the first thing I didnt think about was these are not cupholder friendly, they simply werent meant designed for that, my bad I didnt even think about it one morning and while ran out of the house with the mug and had to drive while holding the mug.The only reason I gave it 4 stars are it really doesnt hold 12 oz of fluid, you cannot put the lid on if you attempt to put more than 10 oz of liquid in it. Also, after daily use and washing some of the outer coating is starting to chip. I frankly think it adds character and reminds me of those old tin camping mugs.

I read the morning paper with my coffee of the day. I purchased this mug for myself because I was tired of my breakfast coffee getting cold before I was finished with it. Because I burned my mouth the first time I used it, I take the lid off before I have my first sip. It's also easier to drink with the lid off. However, if I want it to stay hot until I'm finished, it's necessary to put the lid back on when I'm not drinking. Other than the fact it doesn't stay hot as long as I expected it to, I LOVE this cup. It's light, the handle is perfect to hold on to, and it's very easy to keep clean.

The cups are beautiful and well made. I also have a Yeti of the same style and they look like then came from the same factory. I did some testing with both brands and their heat loss is close to the same with a slight advantage to the Yeti. I have a taller Yeti tumbler and it has thicker walls and holds hot or cold considerable longer than the mugs. That said, they are better than ceramic mugs and do keep the beverage warm for about 1-1-1/2 hours.

I like this coffee mug. I keep it at work and use it for coffee during the day. I like that it is short, easily fits under a pod coffeemaker, and keeps coffee warm for awhile. I like that it fits 1 cup of coffee nicely (not too huge) . It gets a 1-star reduction because it is a bit heavy and it will not fit in my car’s cup holder. The lid is open at the top (like in the pictures) so it’s not leakproof. Since I keep this one at work and don’t travel with it - it’s great.
