Cuisinart SPB-456-2B Blender Blade without Gasket

This fits great with my Cuisinart SPB-10 series which is a blender and food processor in one. I wanted to point out that the description needs to be fixed in regard to the title saying, "does not include gasket" , however when I received my order yesterday it came with a gasket ( the circular rubber gray thing) which I was quite surprised to see. Due to the description I had to purchase a separate a gasket from a different vendor had I known I would not have purchased a gasket separately now I cant even return the extra gasket that I bought from the other vendor because of the return policy :(. I'm giving a 4 star because of the description maybe the vendor needs to check the box before an item is shipped out so you don't have your customers purchase a separate rubber gasket as I did. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with the blade I saved myself a $100 from purchasing a new blender.

I normally read reviews of most of the products but this one was such a simple purchase I didn't. I wish I had, as I see some other reviewers have complained about the same issue. I've lodged the issue with Amazon and I'm awaiting a new gasket.I'm sure most people didn't complain as they were buying for the new blades, and probably just used their old gasket. I was actually just looking for the gasket (my GF lost it...I don't know how that happens...it's a ***** blender...it's not like she's carrying it around with her LOL...). I went with the combo to get the new blades...and that's all I got. No gasket.The good news is that this part did fit my Cuisinart FBP-5CHP blender perfectly. I await my gasket now.----------Update...Seller sent me a gasket with the quickness - back in business! Bumped up to four stars as the product now does as intended - which is making margaritas like a champ.

My original blender blade base came apart, and I didn't really want to replace the blender for one part. So I ordered this. I have been using it daily for about 1 month, it is working good, hasn't had any mechanical or functional problems. But I do worry how long it will last. One big complaint, it is LOUD. Like the bearings are not rolling around smooth, or not lubricated well, etc. Not sure because I can't see the internals of the base of this, but I can say it is significantly louder (like a squeal noise) than the original. I am not talking about the standard noise of a blender doing it's job, this is a noise from this new piece the original never had, and it is LOUD. But I only use the blender 1 - 2 minutes each day, so I give it 3 stars because it is working, and that was the most important.

So, they don't make things to last anymore, even if you pay a a lot of money for the appliance. Notice on the box that it says 2 or 3 year warranty? That's because something will probably go by then. This happened to me just after the warranty expired. I called Cuisinart and it was going to cost me more money and I would have to pay more for the shipping too, so I found one on Amazon. It works like a gem as it is the exact one I needed. It was less then what I would have paid with Cuisinart and it arrived within a few days. When you order, make sure that it is the exact one. There is one other that looks just like the SPB-456-2B and I don't know what the difference is.

My original blade just came apart at the seams. Figured I’d try a new blade before going for a new one and this worked well but seems to be making a slight grinding noise that doesn’t affect the performance. Minus one star for that.

Slightly different (bearing portion in the shaft) from OEM, but exactly like the picture here. Works. Blades are sharp. Good Price. Received quickly. Plastic cracked on original after several years of use/abuse. This solved the problem.

The wrong color but much cheaper than buying the white one from Cuisinart. Used on a really old blender which has held up very well.
