Lovely parasol & great quality
I decided to purchase the Sorara Roma cantilever parasol as it was recommended as one of the best buys in a number of gardening review websites, plus it has a 2yr guarantee- not many other manufacturers offer over a year.Just waiting for the hot weather to arrive so I can unpack & use it!

Hard to assemble and noisy
I have been forced to downgrade my review from 4 stars to 2. In use, the slightest wind causes the umbrella to emit a loud and highly unpleasant metallic creaking that is almost continuous and impossible to ignore. It stops only when the umbrella stops moving -- that is, when there is no wind. I see no likelihood that this will change. What a disappointment! This umbrella was hard to assemble: heavy and awkward to lift into place over the base support post. The screw holes where the umbrella pole is attached to a sleeve around support post did not line up. The seller advised a bit of 'hammer' engineering that eventually worked, with difficulty. There seems to be a potential weak point where the umbrella could fail in a sudden his wind. The umbrella pole sits inside about six inches of aluminium sleeve around the base support post. The support post itself is solid steel. Overall the umbrella seems otherwise sturdy and is good to look at.Very heavy weights are needed to secure the umbrella.Rotation is not possible -- this is inconvenient, although this avoids a weak point where a rotating mechanism would be fitted.

Well made and sturdy.
I fixed the parasol to a wall using a 9" heavy duty aerial bracket a 2 "D" clamps ,the parasol is very sturdy and well made and because of the cantilever system covers a bigger area than a normal parasol.

Does a near perfect job
Very well made umbrella. Heavy but that makes it strong. Easy to use and find the right vertical setting.A rotation ability would have been good but its size offsets that somewhat as the sun moves round.I screwed the base through the deckboards to the joists below using larger screws than those supplied.Given the large area I'm not convinced weights alone would do the job, others might know better.

A great parasol
Easily put together, appears to be really well made. You will need to buy the additional weights for the base to keep it secure in the wind
