Nice basic no frills GPS watch from a 30 year runner.
Do you like to run? Yes? Do you want to know your live pace and end result? Yes?! Well, this watch is for you. After reading reviews destroying this watch, heres my take. Its really good. Get some coffee and read on.Ive been running for 30 years and remember a time when (gasp) we didnt even have GPS!! You had to rely on a stopwatch!! Yes, I know todays smartwatches are oh so smart, and oh so expensive. Filled with all kinds of data you can look at frontways, backways, and 7 ways to sunday. But you know what? It wont make you faster. Seriously. In my medical job we learned, dont get a test unless you know what to do with it. The same goes for smartwatch data. Do you really run slower if your heart rate is at 85% and you feel great? Do you run faster if you heart rate is 84% and you are struggling? No you dont. You run a comfortable rate. You can get all the facts and figures you want, maps, calorie counts, heart rate, levels (whatever that means) and steps, but you only need to know how fast you are going, and how fast you went. Its that simple. And for those of you who grew up never seeing a greyscale screen, only colors on an iPhone, take a deep breath. Its how life used to be for many many people. And we survived. Its ok.People giving this watch negative reviews, understand this. ITS $50!!! *not $200* Please bear this in mindI have ran with about 20 different smartwatches in the past 5 years. I have even ran with the first Soleus GPS 1.0 watch back in 2011. And Ive had Samsung and Garmin, and Nike, the list goes on and on. They all have their quirks. Trust me. The first version of the Soleus used to take 10-15 real minutes to get GPS signal. Thats on a sunny clear AF day. I couldnt even get a signal in Boston one time. BOSTON!! Ahh, memories of when GPS was new.OK. When you get the watch, take some time and read the manual, get used to the function of the buttons. It takes 10 minutes, I know, but you'll be confident you dont end a run when your out there. And rule #1, DO NOT START THE GPS SEARCH UNTIL YOU HAVE A DIRECT SKY ABOVE YOU. That means outdoors, not under a cover, or while getting your shoes on in the garage. For whatever reason, that screws up the search. But I guess most people dont know that. If you did search for GPS while in the garage, CANCEL, and search again when you are outside. It should find GPS in under 3 minutes if you are in clear sight of the sky. There, I saved you frustration and a return. And hey, youre supporting an American company, right? After all Soleus is from Texas. So keep our economy spinning.Good luck out there. Go set a PR. And save some money for the after party, you party animal.

Perfect for a runner who is done with data tracking
Time, pace and distance on your wrist. Can be set up to flash your pace every mile too. Reset the data before each run. So easy and good battery life too. Love it

watch face is HUGE. Functionally fine and seemed easy to use but the firm part of the watch was so big I couldn't wear it. Is more like a large men's sportswatch, would work if you have larger wrists

Good idea but falls short
I did not find this product as easy to use as was stated. I had a problem with the light. After checking the light it would not shut off and it did run down the battery. The size is gigantic, fortunately it is not heavy. I will continue to puzzle through the product.

Three Stars
Bulky, awkward charger, and takes forever to sync with GPS.

SOLEUS
The only thing I see wrong with watch, only charges to 50% WHICH MEANS IT MUST BE CHARGED twice as often

A good buy
I bought this for my teen son. He likes it and says it works well. The GPS connection takes a couple minutes on start up. He had to read the manual to figure out use of split times. A good buy overall.

Inexpensive, but it takes too long to connect to GPS.
The watch is a good price for GPS functionality; however, for this you must sacrifice performance. It can take ten minutes to connect to GPS. Sometimes it will not connect at all and give a message saying "INDOOR". Maybe I got a defective unit, but I would suggest finding a different watch and paying a little more money for one that does not have so many issues connecting.

Don't bother
This is the most frustrating sports watch I have ever used and I really wish I had returned it. The GPS takes ages to find a signal, the pace setting jumps around erratically so it is very difficult to determine how fast I am running, and if I should dare to run in a remote or forest area I might as well not bother because the signal is lost immediately.

Its a GPS watch but still you cant upload your workout to a pc. Madness. Its stored on the watch. This needs to be stated in description of watch.

Seems to work fine so far
Seems to work fine so far, distance matches that on my iphone GPS apps. Also looks much smarter that some other devices when just a watch.

Works exactly as hoped and great price. Shame it doesn't upload to Strava (later editions do and I knew this before I bought it).
