I've been using "Shimmer Lights" for YEARS, experimenting with other toning shampoos/conditioners to see which is the best. Every other "debrassing" product I've tried is a joke: it's maybe dyed a light lavender but does absolutely nothing for color toning. Clairol Blonde & Silver is a DEEP purple that actually aids in toning. No matter how much I use, my subtle brassiness never really goes all the way gross gray, it perfectly tones down the yellow/orange. The biggest reason I've looked elsewhere is because of the dated smell. You might attribute some of the scent to the dye aspect, but as a 30yo still using this, I feel that the old-lady floral scent was never representative of something I wanted to put on my hair. I'd also recommend just skipping the shampoo. It might aid in EXTRA debrassing, but if you just need a little yellow-toning, the conditioner is the most important as staying in your hair at the end of the shower as opposed to shampoo.
