Works better than I expected.
The media could not be loaded. Bought this specifically for the use outdoors to reduce wind noise. Initialy thought the wind-shield had no effect, but then noticed I had the lead the wrong way round! Doh!With it correctly plugged in, the wind noise reduction was very good and much improved sound quality.

Very good for the price.
This is a very good mic - for the price (just over £25 on the Spring deal.) You might get fancier and more versatile microphones if you pay much more, but the audio quality is very good with this Movo mic. Connects perfectly with my Nikon DSLR and gives much improved sound on video, but it does NOT connect with my iPhone (thus 4 stars), despite using the correct adapter. I think that's an issue with the adapter, not the mic. No worries - I want it for my DSLR anyway.A surprise in the box was an extra, alternative - better - shock mount. Both shock mounts are a very tight fit on the mic, so I'm leaving the mic on its mount.Happy so far, anyway!Update: I've also been able to use this as a USB microphone by connecting it to the PC with a UGREEN USB Sound Card.

No good at all
I can only assume it was faulty because it made the sound on recordings worse than with the phone's built in mic

Perfect vlogging mic
I love this microphone! If you're just starting out making videos, then this should be your first port of call. The main reason most people click off a youtube video is that it has bad audio - this solves that problem nearly instantly.First things first... you get the microphone, a shock mount (with a cold shoe bottom), two cables, a dead cat and a little bag to keep it all in. It's really small, that's the first thing to note, and I carry it around in the front pocket of my backpack. It's light and super easy to just have on you at all times. It comes with two different cables for two different functions - one to plug into a camera or an external recorder (such as a zoom h1) and one to plug straight into a phone's microphone/headset jack. If you've got an iPhone, you'll need a dongle, but that won't come as news to you.It sounds fine, albeit a little tinny. It's loud enough that you won't have to add masses of gain and, for most people, this microphone should be pretty much plug-in and play. It's great for vlogging, and there's no battery in there so there's nothing to remember to turn on/plug in/charge - it just works. That's the best thing about this mic - it just works! Highly recommend it, so much so I have two of them

Sound is not the best compared to others
My sennheiser mic failed so I bought this as a cheap and quick replacement for a weekend charity vlog .On reviewing the footage there was more background noise, and the quality of the recorded voice wasn’t great. It’s passable, after quite a bit of eq and isolation via FCPX, but the sennheiser needed none of that.I’ll be keeping this as a backup, but get another main mic
