I am new to pool ownership; I bought this filter after reading the results and watching the video. I was very nervous about putting this together myself. The video is a clear and very useful tool. I am happy to say, I put it together in about an hour and a half, due to being rather careful and when I turned it on, it worked beautifully. Quiet, great pressure and strong suction for the debris.

This pump/filter unit is great, didn't realize the pump had a built in timer that you can schedule when the pump runs and automatically shuts off. I bypassed using sand and went with three pounds of filter balls and I have no complaints as water pressure and flow is consistant and the pool has great circulation unlike another system bought from a pool store.

Very satisfied with this filter. The first one I received had a small crack in the housing that sprayed water out when running. Amazon replaced it with a new one and I installed that one. Much better. No cracks. The filter cleaned my pool and left the water sparkling clean. I’m going to enjoy this filter

I cannot express what an absolute piece of crap this thing is. The plug that is supposed to screw into the base to prevent all the water and sand from leaking out came STRIPPED. It does not tighten at all no matter how much pressure is applied or how much you turn it. It was kind of on there in the beginning since the first step says to make sure this plug is “as tight as possible” then after I spent my entire day figuring out how to put this thing together, it started leaking after I turned it on. When I tried to tighten it it made it WORSE and then after I pulled it out all the sand started pouring out. I bought $50 worth of sand just to dump into this thing and a good portion of it is now just sitting in the dirt and grass. Amazon said they can’t sent a replacement and I need to return it before I can get my money back and then have to order another pump. It’s bad enough this thing took almost a week to arrive, now I have to figure out how to salvage my sand out of here so it doesn’t go to waste, return it, wait for my money back and then order another pump. My pool is going to turn into sludge in the meantime. I am so upset with this product. I can’t believe they sent me a severely defective item. I should have bought the intex pump. If you buy this whatever you do make sure this knob tightens. It’s sad because otherwise this pump would work great as the only issue i had is that this cheap little plastic knob is stripped which makes the entire machine totally useless. I was looking forward to this thing arriving all week, I am so disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this for an 18' x 48" above ground Bestway pool; it came with everything needed to replace the noisy stock grinder of a filter/pump from Bestway. Super quiet; sits outside our bedroom and we can't hear it! There are some small leaks reported that I can attest to, however really? you bought an above ground pool! They all leak! Go spend 30k then complain...

Great filter and pump especially for the price. Customer service is amazing as well. My 6 way valve had some loose treads but they sent me a replacement without issue. I would definitely recommend for above ground pools.

So far so good has anyone used the ground wire? I have 14" 2/3 hp and it came with a green green ground wire is this even needed for my 18 round above ground pool?

My pump is leaking water tried to fix it but it’s leaking through the inner bearing seal! It woks well other than this issue!
