Spax Decking Screws 4.5 x 60mm pk 250

Fantastic for decking, but don't expect to take them back out again once the wood gets wet.

I work in the building trade and spax are the best screws on the market their decking screws are out of this world a little bit more expensive than other decking screws but well worth it with the time you save and the overall finished product as appose to using poor screws.I arent too sure what the references are to not been able to get them out after they get wet. Ive taken 100s out of very wet exposed decks that have been down for quite a while. Hence why they come with a 15 year corrision guarantee.The screws shouldnt really get wet anyway if the deck is treated properly and after installing the screws go over them with a end grain treatment as you should with all cuts on exterior tanilised timber something which a lot of people think they dont have to do. (Pretreated timber is only treated on the outside once you cut through it your exposing it to the elements,even pilot holes) do it right do it once!
