Wonderful option for non plastic dishware without the maintenance of wood.
I bought these dishes because after researching non toxic dishware for babies and toddlers, these seemed like the best option for us based on safety, style, price, and maintenance. I do find it concerning that these dishes are so difficult to find, which makes me wonder about their safety. If anyone knows why this is the case please inform me. But other than that these dishes have been great. I wasn't thrilled about the odd shapes at first but it actually makes helping our babies sip water easier and the curved lip of the plate seems helpful for when kids learn how to use untensils. I still haven't figured out the point of the bowl's shape but perhaps that has a practical function we will discover as our twins get older.

We love these. Wish we could get more color combinations
We love these. Wish we could get more color combinations. First cup was defective and wouldn't sit flat (big problem with toddlers prone to spill anyway), but replaced it and works fine.

Great Concept, Needs Some Improvement
What matters most to me when it comes to eating is that my children are eating using dinnerware which is truly safe for use over an extended period of time. We all eat every day, multiple times a day, and I try my best to find the safest products in that regard. Along that same vein, I personally feel better about purchasing products made in the USA or Europe. We have had great difficulty finding dinnerware for children that meets our criteria, especially in terms of product country of origin.Zoe b Organic is BPA free and made in the USA and we certainly appreciate that. The plates, bowls and cups work well for our family in terms of overall functionality and we appreciate that they can be washed in the dishwasher. The plates are made of plastic, it is just a bioplastic which is derived from corn. I don't see on their website that they are meant to be microwaved, although clearly some people do that. I personally don't believe in microwaving any plastic myself as I question what may be leaching out of the plastic, bioplastic or not.The plates do scratch very easily. Depending on the color, there are some additional issues. The white stains immediately and horribly, especially with food such as spaghetti. The green uses a dye which we have and come off on our hands consistently when washed. The blue plates seem to be the winner all around, minus the scratching. We have not used the pink.I think this company has a great idea, but I think it needs some work.I don't know of any other great American or European companies out there, I'm searching. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! We need some more dishes, but aren't sure we want to purchase more of these.
