I see life differently now
I won’t put all my private business out there for just anyone to read, but I will say that recently I’ve made some huge life changing mistakes, similar to my father before me. I got caught up in the “keeping up with the jones” tradition and I let it consume me entirely until I wasn’t myself anymore, alcohol had taken over. I began blaming others for why I was the way I was and didn’t hold myself accountable, it was always because it was happening because of someone else, and that it was happening to me, not for me. After my mistakes I decided it was time to make a change before I did something irreversible, I began to be somewhat selfish and listen to myself for a change and do what I needed to do to get better. I quit drinking, I quit smoking, I quit dipping snuff, I began working out, I began resting, I held myself accountable, I quit forcing relationships and I began to destroy the boy I was before all this insight. That boy lingers deep within me, but now I have the power to hold him there to where he is almost nothing. I’m 6 months into this change and this book came along around 2 months in. “Don’t Believe Everything You Think” is truly and testament to my life now, I reference back to it often, I’m excited to look at it each time. The book has truly helped me, I’m realizing everything isn’t a battle, that things do come easy if I allow it, I don’t have to struggle and fight, just let things be and go with the flow. I’m not a perfect practitioner by any means but the book has sure helped me look at life differently. 10/10 must read for me. Thank you Joseph Nguyen, I definitely feel less alone and more free after your book.

Don't believe Everything you think
Life-Changing Perspective ShiftDon't Believe Everything You Think is a beautifully simple yet deeply profound book that challenges the way we relate to our thoughts, emotions, and sense of self. Joseph Nguyen offers a compassionate and eye-opening guide to inner peace, rooted in mindfulness and the understanding that we are not our thoughts—we are the awareness behind them. What stood out most to me was how accessible this book is. It's not weighed down by jargon or complex philosophy. Instead, it's filled with clarity, kindness, and actionable insights. Nguyen gently guides you to recognize that so much of our suffering comes from believing untrue thoughts, and that true freedom lies in letting go and being present.Whether you're struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, or just feel stuck in overthinking, this book provides a refreshing new way to experience life with more ease and self-acceptance. I found myself feeling lighter with each chapter, and I’ve already recommended it to several friends.A must-read for anyone ready to reconnect with themselves and discover a quieter, truer way to live.

Life changing philosophy
I would definitely say the first half of the book was life changing. I was left with my jaw dropped after almost every chapter. The chapters were very short but powerful making me feel like I was flying through the book. In my opinion reading this from a Christian POV I didn’t like how much it talked about the universe but other than that the book is definitely worth reading, very life changing.

Short but profound!
My intuition said this was a book I needed to read and I was write to buy it. Short read but worth the read. Amazing insight to the difference in thoughts, emotions and thinking and how to strive to be in a state of happiness, joy, love and peace. This paired with other self help books are helping my understanding of who I am capable of being. A must read in my opinion!

Inspiring
I think I subconsciously knew what Joseph writes being familiar with Buddhist and Stoic principles. But this book shows a method and steps to eliminate suffering in one's life. Not particularly easy ,but showing clearly the way.

Don’t believe everything you think!
I’m not much of a reader but I’m so glad I found this book. I just finished reading it and it changed my whole life style and yes, it might seem like I’m exaggerating but trust me when I say this, I’m not. The way the book took me places I hadn’t even imagined before was amazing and that’s not even close to being the best part of full of joy and excitement I am after finishing it, is. This book definitely gave me a life lesson I’m gonna keep for life.
