SMK-Link VP4350 Global Presenter 100'

I had the prototype for years. I broke the usb reciever uggghhhhh! & replaced it with this newer model. The usb receiver feels a bit flimsy. I would recommend a short usb extension cord...it would have saved my old unit. Still...works great. Shape & size...very good. Range...excellent. Laser pointer much better. I use a long usb exension cord to position reciever/antenna for max effectiveness. I don't like it out of sight or buried in a bunch of eletronic cords/cables/junk.

This is the best presenter and most demanded by our users. It is very expensive and somewhat fragile but still a great product.

Overall, it works well. The main issue I have with it is that it doesn't have some basic features like on/off button. You have to take out the batteries to turn it off...that is ridiculous...Second, it has no button that will take you from reduced screen to a presentation mode...you have to do it manually...The mouse is kind of slow...in addition you can only use it in the windows, not once you have started the presentation...so if there is a link on your slide, you will not be able to click on it...which I thought was the main advantage...For the price I expected a much more impressive device with much better functionality.

I am a teacher and have purchased two of these now. I like the ease of install and use, the sensitivity, the look... BUT the laser pointer, which I use during every presentation, ceases to work after 10 or 11 months of use. I thought that was a fluke with the first one I purchased so I bought another. Now the 2nd one has stopped working after just about the same amount of time. Big bummer! No, it is not the batteries. No, I have not dropped it. The rest of the functions are still working - just not the laser pointer.
