Had this arrive for usage with my 2018 Macbook Pro. Received an email a few days later saying it was meant for the 2017 model and that I had to update it. I chose not to as it worked perfectly regardless, until one day it all of a sudden stopped letting me charge using the hub. I tried to use the provided updating tool but I couldn't manage to get it working.Great little device for connecting things, but comes as a bit of a nuisance not being able to charge my device while using it.

Works fine, my only annoyance is that you sometimes have to unplug and plug back in for it to recognise a USB key. Would much rather use apple gear, but having spent a small fortune on the machine I'm afraid its third party for this. I do wish there was a HDMI output on it but I can live with this, bluetooth, screen share and this hub work fine.

A good idea allowing you to connect external USB HDDs to the Macbook Pro; but the weight of the cables kept pulling the hub out slightly, disconnecting them, which is less than ideal! I've ended up going for the more expensive Lenovo version, but that allows ethernet connection as well as being on a short, single cable, so overall a much tidier solution as well

It’s great but it’s a bit weird for newer macs as you need to install drivers, but after that it works well.

I spent a while looking and deciding on a USB C hub for the 2018 MacBook Pro. After choosing this one, I was a bit apprehensive if it would work or last. I can confirm this is perfectly capable for the job. It gets a little warm but that’s expected. The hdmi port is perfectly located at the top and the dock itself sits flush against the MacBook Pro 15” with colour being as good as you’d expect from a third party product. Overall, would recommend.

Does the trick. Very good for travel. On first day I had it, it saved us in a presentation where we needed to connect a monitor to a MacBook Pro,.

I really like the design - fits into the two USB C ports on the MacBook Pro. The 'however' is that the hub runs from the computer's battery (and the drain is even greater when you use all three USB ports), therefore you really need to use the AC adapter for prolonged use.I can use an external hard disk, a MIDI hub and whatever else I care to attach all at the same time, sharing the connections on the computer.Great bit of kit!

The hub is versatile, very well made and fits seamlessly on the side of my MacBook. It's also competitively priced with similar products.I had a number of older USB A and B gadgets that I couldn't connect wirelessly to the Mac so. The C Hub was the answer to my prayers. As I do video transfer/editing, the SD slot and micro SD slots are useful additions.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and would certainly recommend.
