Versatile and Great Value
The SmallRig 5-in-1 Magnetic 67mm Lens Filter Kit is a fantastic tool for mobile videographers and photographers looking to elevate their shots. It includes a Variable ND filter (ND2-ND32, 1-5 stops), a CPL filter, a 1/4 Mist filter, a threaded adapter ring, and a magnetic lens cover, all stored in a zippered pouch with a cleaning cloth. The multi-coated German optical glass delivers sharp, high-quality images, and the magnetic system makes swapping filters a breeze—just snap them onto a compatible SmallRig phone cage or 67mm camera lens. The VND balances exposure for dynamic shots like waterfalls, the CPL cuts glare for clearer skies and glass, and the Black Mist adds a dreamy, cinematic effect. Users love the ease of use, with one saying, “Filters snap on fast, and the quality rivals pricier brands.”

Great product and variety
Works great for the SmallRig phone cage set up. A good amount of options. I do wish there was an additional ND32 that could be combined with the VND to get an extra range of stops.

Lens Cap for ND Filter
This kit is great, except for one major flaw. The included lens cap does not fit the ND filter, which is the filter many people would use most frequently. I just went to my local photo store and found a good lens cap to fit the ND filter. It is the Pro-Master 72mm lens cap. Other 72mm caps didn’t fit properly, but this one did.In the future, it would be great if SmallRig included caps for all of the filters in the kit.

A Kit of Basic Pro Filter Essentials in a Versatile and Convenient to Use Format.
Smallrig does a very good job of summing up what’s included in their 5-in-1 Magnetic Filter Kit and explaining its capabilities. The kit, that includes the three filters, lens cap and the magnetic adapter ring, are all stored in a quality zippered pouch, that features a belt loop. The magnetic adapter ring is the only one that is threaded, allowing it to be attached to any 67mm threaded interface, be it a lens or an adapter ring to fit a phone cage.Since the adapter ring and filters don’t have usable front threads, stepping-up from 67mm isn’t possible, however stepping up from a lower size is doable. For example, using a 62 – 67 step-up ring allows the use of the kit on a lens with 62mm front threads. And of course, step-up rings can be stacked, at least until vignetting becomes an issue. I’m always looking for ways to increase the versatility of the various filters I own, especially those very useful ones that are include in the Smallrig 5-in-1 Kit. And of course there is also the benefit of Smallrig quality; I own a number of their accessories and have always found them to be of a reliable company with high-quality production standards at the forefront of innovation. The included filters are a perfect fit for me. I’m not big on diffusion or creating effects post-production; the 1/4 Black Mist filter is just right for taking the edge off of overly processed videos and photos without being particularly noticeable. A VND is essential for video work, and shooting still images with fast lenses wide open, as I do. And I shoot almost everything with a polarizer on the lens; like I said, this kit was made for me.The three filters are stackable in any combination, although the VNDs front element is larger than 67mm, so neither of the other two filters can be attached to the front of it; it will always need to be at the forefront of a stack. Otherwise, in the correct order, all three can be stacked, or used in any of the possible combinations. On the other hand, the magnetic adapter ring can be threaded onto any other 67mm filter of the user’s choice, e.g., stacking the VND onto a fixed ND to increase its range. In any event, there are many creative and technical uses for the included combination of filters; it’s a kit of what I consider to be the essentials. The magnetic system makes it quick and easy to remove, add or change filters, and eliminates the fumbling that can occur when urgency is required. I took a look through the Smallrig Store and it appears that this 5-in-1 Magnetic filter Kit is the genesis of a filter system that we may see additions to in the future. I hope so. One idea would be to add a couple of fixed NDs that can be used to increase the range of the kits Variable ND. For example, by adding an ND8 (3-stops) the VNDs range would be increased from 1 to 5-stops, to 4 to 8-stops, not an uncommon range when shooting video. Other than that, as I’ve already alluded, the Magnetic filter kit includes a selection of basic, but essential filters for all-around versatility in a convenient format.

Great value for High quality lens filters. A big-time saver for me.
The media could not be loaded. Today I'm reviewing this SmallRig 5 in 1 Magnetic 67mm Lens Filter set,You can see everything you receive: You've got the magnetic lens cap, the converter from threaded to magnetic, a black diffusion filter, variable ND 2-32, and a CPL polarizing filter, and a microfiber cleaning cloth, and a really nice carrying case. Each piece has its own segment of the case. There is a carry loop and a Velcro strap to make it easy to connect to other things. It's very simple to convert your 67mm lens to use the magnetic set. Just screw on the adapter and now you'll be able to save a lot of time and effort by taking your magnetics and snapping them on and switching them out. There are only two down sides I've found. The first is with the variable ND, the magnetic lens cap does not fit on it because the ND is a larger size, so you can't use the lens cap with it.The other thing is that the way the lens cap is, it's so flat there is nothing to grab onto it's super smooth. So, if you have a lens hood stored on your lens it can be very difficult to remove. Not a deal breaker, just something to be aware of. I've found when I'm using this, I will typically just remove the lens hood and it's much easier. The quality of this is top notch, the overall price for what you get is a good value. It's very high-quality pieces here, and it definitely makes me keep a positive opinion of the company SmallRig.I am rating this five out of five stars.Pros- High quality components- Great carrying case- Saves me a lot of time switching between filtersCons- Magnetic lens cap does NOT fit the included variable ND- With a lens hood attached on the lens, it is very difficult to remove lens cap
